Grant Sherfield ended up at Wichita St.
Virginia picks up the #400 ranked recruit. I'm sure he'll turn out good.
Harlon Beverly picked Miami
Utomi to USC makes zero sense.

@dylans I hope he declares his intentions to get a jump shot.
You win the internet for this week! Bravo
Can jump too
He didn't have as much usage as Lawson which was the only real difference. D Law had to carry a larger role then Blackshear did at Tech. Pretty much everything else was almost spot on. Would be a huge difference maker next year

Saw him play against Oak Hill recently. He was good as a stretch 4. Kofi couldn't handle his versatility.
He needs to get rid of that mop on his head though. Looks so silly with it.
Wasatch Academy has another guy on their team worth monitoring. He was a blur with the ball, their PG Mike Sanders. He's Devon Dotson quick with the ball. Defended Cole Anthony well. Has a 6'7 wingspan. Not a great shooter at this point but he'll rise from his current rank #228.

KU basketball banquet tonight at 6:30, I believe. Maybe some announcements regarding staying or going?
Anyone going?
Who's left to go? Everyone but the mail man has left already
pay him whatever he wants to come here. I posted the comparison of stats between him and Lawson. Almost identical

@BeddieKU23 Just curious - why do you feel like he won't get an invite?
For starters the fact he didn't play last year.
I was optimistic about his potential this past season and felt his absence was as big as losing Doke. He just fit what the team needed down low.
Crimsonorblue22 said:
@BeddieKU23 at least he can show himself. Not a lot of choices for him.
Show himself where? Very unlikely he's getting a combine invite. Maybe he gets a few workouts.
Transfer list over 650. Crazy
What a mess this years cycle is turning into

All out redicilous
Do you blame him? Might as well go through the process while the NCAA decides whether you get to play this decade.
I dont blame him at all but if this is what playing for KU has become, I'm not impressed. Such as life as a fan these days. Silvio has been screwed every which way this year. Shocked he didnt leave already
HighEliteMajor said:
@BeddieKU23 Are you referring Grimes? Hold on, I’m being told Grimes actually DID play this past season.
I can confirm he played, he just didn't play very well.
I guess when you play at KU now your so famous and good playing in games isn't even required to try and make the NBA

Yup, one play, one sits right
No, he is a wing

Tristan Enaruna is down to KU, Creighton, and Miami. He will visit all 3 at the end of the month per Evan Daniels.
If we can't land this kid against those two schools with immediate playing time then WTF.
Problem is, he isnt a starter next yr. Doesnt even play the 4 in HS

Sad.
Not really we feared this for a while
Duke and Duke
Didnt even make Hurts final 2
Will Wade is reinstated. Cant wait to see how this one ends
The bags are flowing in Georgia.
Stanley never gave the vibe he would be here. Nothing new with those types.
Hearing breaking news just now.
KU ball boy John Doe declares for NBA draft with intent to sign an agent.
When asked why he is forgoing his NCAA Eligibility with 3 years left, John cited KU's 2018 2019 struggles with shooting the ball.
"Too much work tracking down missed shots this year". " In the NBA These guys make shots at a higher rate and I think I'll able to score a few autographs over time".
" great opportunity for the kid" was Self's comment when we caught up with him outside Allen Fieldhouse.
Self was confident his program could absorb the loss citing the ever growing transfer market these days. " we will get a few real guys in here".
John was asked where he'd like to play, saying "LA of course, Lebron is out there, they tryin to get AD and some others". Magic is gone, Walton is gone but they will rebound.
John thanked KU for his time as a Jayhawk, "God put me in a great position to have a successful career and of course Bill Self, a Hall of Fame coach has put me in the best position possible as well". "Look at all the guys in the league"
John becomes the 18th program member to leave since the shocking 2nd round defeat against Auburn in the NCAA tournament. Currently KU has just two recruits signed for the 2019 2020 season. Self mentioned they are busy on the recruiting trail this time of year.
I half expected he wouldn't even test. We can only hope the process for him isnt a last minute type situation. Hopefully he gets the info he needs rather quickly
Certainly that thought cant be completely shut with the fire sale going on.
Just the way things are now. He could recruit 4 yr guys that leave too. Kids have no loyalty nor should they have to

WOOF
Come on down RJ Hamp, oh wait probably go to Memphis followed by
Duke, followed by some random team not recruiting him with cash
FarmerJayhawk said:
@BeddieKU23 my feeling is this is a no-brainer for them. Devon won't be at KU for 4 years and you get multiple opportunities to test, so why not?
I agree it is a no brainier. While he sits outside the top 10 in his position for now I can see him testing and playing well. Might be good for a high to mid 2nd round grade from some teams intrigued with his speed and finish ability. Good defender as well
FarmerJayhawk said:
@BeddieKU23 he'll be back. No way he's a first rounder.
While I think he is likely to come back we have no idea what he and his family think about just taking the chance now. He would make money now, somewhere
Might be options 1 thru 5 with Dotson declaring
Devon Dotson declares with an agent. We will see whether he returns
Lol
Forgot about Silvio. Haven't given it a thought the NCAA would actually give him his yr back
TJ Holyfield will officially visit KU.
Yeah I wouldn't expect Doke back.
As it stands Dotson, Agbaji, Garrett, Lightfoot, McCormack and the two signed recruits. 5 spots open, 6 if Doke does pursue a professional career.
Two possible additions on the 17th and 19th but I wouldn't expect either as likely. Maybe things look good with Stanley now that Grimes left. UCLA just hired a coach and has no relationship with him. Oregon can drop off some Nike cash.. we will see
The guys coming in are not scaring anyone away. Just seeing one of the worst roster attritions in the Self era.
Hopefully the staff can get guys they want in here. Looking bleak no matter what

Always liked him, remembered the yr they won a tourney game and lost to WV. He can shoot the 3 too. Ideal 4 man if your going with shooters
All time leading shot blocker at SFA
Shoulder injury
Great post.
Ku and Kentucky will meet with Hurt this week. Presumably to be told he is not going to either
We invested an entire year for nothing with Grimes. Nothing. No return investment. If anything the perception of a OAD having a poor year at KU again or whatever it will say does enough damage. Oh well. KU doesnt ever have enough successful NBA Players to cover the ones like Grimes and many others over the years. Just get out of the game of these kids.
As I've suspected when he was pre season top 10 the outside influences got into q and his family, maybe even before. No matter the season he was going to leave.
I wish him luck. He goes down as a huge bust given the commitment. Some kids are not ready to be stars off the bat. Another season could have helped both sides. Instead we again lose a player early that has a real uphill battle at an NBA career

Money has always been the most important factor in that recruitment. Been hearing such for over a yr now
That’s what I was trying to insinuate . It’s almost like they aren’t even hiding it. I mean he’s saying he is wide open to any school still.
I think the fact he visited Roy and Bill and left with those comments was alluding to that. Also that neither school could afford to risk him on their roster.. unfortunate. Such a talent
Money has always been the most important factor in that recruitment. Been hearing such for over a yr now
My good friend knows his old Jersey coach and unfortunately precious just has people in his circle that it is what it is. Whatever school gets him is just an 8 month rental anyway. A classic case of a kid that should be allowed to go pro. I dont think Roy could put up with his circle, he fits their style the best tho

Notable not declaration: Ashton Hagans.
Lack of a jump shot seems like something that may keep him another year in KY. Just wonder how him and Maxey will coexist though
Who woulda thunk that recruiting services got him so wrong
