Would that be consider a happy ending?
String Theory covers everything - Sheldon Cooper.
The zone is a stop gag solution that raises your floor but also lowers your ceiling. Duke's weakness was defense and the zone raised that floor quite a bit but in the end it turned out to be not the best solution for the team or to develop players.
I don't believe most mock drafts have been updated recently and likely do not reflect the last few weeks, at least they did not last time I checked....maybe they have been by now.
I seem to recall that Tait tweeted that Coach Self was laughing at the refs???
Hey Toto, I guess we are no longer talking geography...:smirk:
I am glad I did not fill brackets this year; it would likely be an all time low.
Nice summary. Sampson can be a very good coach...when not breaking rules.
...and all this time I thought you got to Blue Balls as a result of by-passing Intercourse and Paradise. ROTFL.
OU had raw talent that could have been developed if not so busy working with Young. I am not saying it had top shelf talent but enough of it to be a much better team that what it ended up being.
OU’s season went from most popular kid in school to the crapper in no time flat. Kruger clearly wasted all the available talent not named Young...and even that, he handled it poorly.
I was talking about experience at major programs and not necessarily success. I just don’t see any coach with ties to KU that could step in, say in the next 3 to 5 years; Manning has been a disappointment at Wake Forest. KU commands a high level coach; hopefully Coach Self stays at KU for at least another 10 years in which time someone could have developed enough to step in.
Cool story. I drove through Winslow...on a rental car and I made it to Las Vegas going through Neddles, California while driving from Palm Springs, so I made farther than the Three Dog Night.
The fall has already begun. They had a deep and experienced roster and did not win the conference or post season tournament and flamed out In the first game of the NCAA. Have they lost 4 starters before? I don’t believe so but I could be wrong.
...but...have you been to a little town in New Mexico called Truth or Consequence?
As usual they are just jumping on the band wagon...not unlike some KU fans that gave up on the team during a rough patch.
Apparently they were produced by the school and never licensed. Now, they are finally starting to license the likeness of Sister Jean. ↗
Wichita State should be all over some of these players and delay the end of its perfect storm that brought several successful seasons by a confluence of unheralded players that turned out great but seems to be coming to an end. I believe they will be losing 4 starters if Shamet leaves and their top commit bailed out.
Tubby Smith’s career seems to be circling the drain and probably on its last stop at his alma mater High Point. A long fall from Kentucky to High Point. Other than winning a title at Kentucky with Pitino’s players the rest of his other stops have been pretty forgettable.
This was the part that showed how bad the writing was...
“Remember, this is a group that was overshadowed earlier this season in the Big 12. While the headlines went to other players and other teams, Kansas did what it usually does -- win.”
Remember it was ESPN that became infatuated with Trae Young, became his de facto publicist, led the charge to overshadow KU and made it possible for a wholly underserving team to make it to the Tournament? An ethical media outlet would have looked at the numbers and not the click bait hype to create a fake reality.

Nova better buckle up
Is it going to be a bumpy ride?
KU went to play ISU having lost 2 of 3 and 3 of 6 and I predicted a win would be the turning point of the season. Since then, KU is 11-1 with only one meaningless loss at OSU after having won the title outright.
Coach Self...this is the best played game I have been a part of in the NCAA...
Malik, Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Regional.
You are correct. I still have a hangover from the game. :smiley_cat:
Time will tell but you could be right.
Sometimes we forget how consistently good KU really is.
Rodrick Stewart then?
Jerrod Hasse is doing well at Stanford, Tad Boyle at Colorado, Mark Turgeon at Maryland, Rex Walters now an assistant coach with the Pistons, all have as much or more experience than Dooley.
At this time or near future none is even close to being ready to take over at KU who will go after a big name to follow HOF Bill Self.
Jerrod Haase...
So far Dooley is doing well in a mid-major but so did Shaka...just sayin’
Final Four ones?
LOL on all the tweets. :100:
On a good note, Chuckie Cheese can now eat humble pie.
The Big 12 ha had a very good tournament so far. The ACC shut out of the FF by teams from the Big 12 and the MVC...MVC? Holly crap, that will leave a mark. :smiley_cat:
4 Duke players played a combined 176 minutes and 198 for all 5 starters, 4 KU players played 172 minutes, 191 for all 5 starters. Doke and Carter limited to 22 and 19 minutes due to foul trouble. Our bench outscored Duke 8-6. Iron man basketball for both teams.
Do you think Coach Self will be talking to Beard and Huggins this week?
...and now he has the KU record for most 3 points in one season.👏👍🏆🍾
Bonus point... KU gained 5 games against UK in the all time wins and now trails by only 15 and could be 13!
3 more seasons like this and KU overtakes UK. Wouldn’t it be nice if Coach Self leads KU to the lead in all time wins during UK’s golden years under Calipari?
Gracie missed the shot that could have won the game in regulation and 2 3s in a row at the end of OT. Couldn’t happen to a trippier guy.
Not impressed with Bagley he was largely neutralized by Svi who is much smaller and Doke punked him a few times and his outside shot was AWOL. He can dominate smaller college players but he will have problems with the bigger NBA bodies.
I would love for a reporter to ask Coach rat face...how embarrassing is to lose even when the refs are helping you as much a humanly possible?
How sweeeeeeeeeet it is!!!!!
I guess the refs did not get paid by Duke for Overtime...
I told you....just like ‘08...
Love it. Gracie blew it for them.
Effffffffiiiinnn. Yesssssssssss
Yes....

Wooooohoooooo....
Remember ‘08? We rule OT...
