@kjayhawks That very well might be true but I think our 2020 team deserves that title, even if there were other teams with more dominant or better regular seasons in the discussion. The reason being that every other great team not to win a title failed on their own in the tournament. That 2020 team, on the other hand, was unfairly stripped of a chance to play for a title.

Whom would you fellows rather have, Okareke or Rataj?

UNI earned that win. We were intimidated by the pressure of the tourney and they were not. But there was some luck that factored into the outcome. They could not miss a three all game. A stat that has haunted me ever since was that their center, who had hit 1 career three before that game, went 2-3 from downtown against us.

Okereke would pair well with Flory. A bulldozer and a lanky athlete

I disagree. We need to find the right kids out of high school, keep them around, and use the portal to fill gaps. Or use the portal to snag guys who will be here 2-3 years and not one year rentals.

@Texas-Hawk-10 WVU and Boise are better teams but UNC and Texas are bigger brands. I don't think there is much of a question which has more sway.

There is no hypothetical draw or scenario in which this team makes it past the first weekend. My only hope heading into this Sunday was that a team we have no affiliation with could be the one to beat us.

I would have appreciated a more merciful death blow

K-State is so so much tougher and grittier than we are. In Allen whenever we took a big lead they just kept fighting and getting back into the game. Now that the shoe is on the other foot we are not seeing an ounce of fight from our team.

@SlimShaddy54 That is exactly what I am saying. To be clear, in case I have not explained myself well, I believe this team could and should be much better than they are, but issues with effort and composure are causing us to throw our season away.

Football was so so frustrating BUT, in the grand scheme of things they still overachieved. They had probably the least athletic team in the Big 12 and still almost made a bowl game.

@kuballin10 By beating Duke, outplaying Houston before choking, and having Baylor blown out before getting lazy and choking this team has shown that they absolutely should be great. But they lose almost all their close games and surrender leads.

This team is lazy, gets rattled way too easily, and takes its foot off the gas. Really disappointing because these guys could be elite if they had the effort and composure of past Self teams

That was disappointing. Second 20 point lead surrenderred this season and this time it bites us in the ass (which is what we deserved last time).
