@BShark I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me at all if he chose Memphis.
@HighEliteMajor I was thinking similarly. It's more of a story if he goes to Memphis and gives Penny a #1 recruiting class and a team with a really strong chance to win a national title. Or if he surprises everyone and picks Michigan because of Juwan Howard, and then they can write stories about rekindling the old Fab 5 and how Howard is going to create a new Fab 5 or something. A Kansas pick is kind of boring.
We'll just keep getting rebounds until the ball goes through the hoop.
@FarmerJayhawk Thanks. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Honestly I'm just happy that SDS finally gets a chance to play. Young man definitely deserves it.
Not that preseason ranking matters at all, but if Kansas gets Hampton and Wilson I don't see how they aren't preseason 1. This is assuming Dotson is back too.
How many of us thought we would have De Sousa and Doke for next season? I'm so happy right now.
This is the equivalent of landing a Top 10 recruit. We are going to lead the country in rebounding next season.
@FarmerJayhawk What are the odds it's Tech or Memphis?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
@BShark And because he was the 8th ranked recruit in 2018.
Is there enough ball to go around at KU if Dotson comes back?
I have no idea what goes on in these players' heads. I just know that Nike/Penny is lobbing bags of cash at people and they have a spot open now.
Please don't go to Memphis, RJ. I feel like it helps that they only have 1 spot open and RJ and Jalen might go to the same place.
@JAYHAWKFAN214 Oh, alright. Silly me.
You'd think with his basketball talent that he'd be able to get all the dates he wanted. Weird.
Joel is listed at 7'0'' and 250 lbs. I think it's probably 7'2'' and close to 300 lbs.
@ajvan He really just needs to get better across the board. Defense, rebounding, finishing, free-throw shooting, speed, strength. As it's already been pointed out, attitude is probably the most important one. His comments that you quoted make it sound like he didn't think he was being used properly last season, and that these couple of games validate that. If that's his mentality, I'm not sure he's looking to get better in his areas of weakness. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. I'd kind of rather just play McBride and Braun. They seem like they have the right attitude. DMac too, by the way.
@ajvan I can buy Q as a distributor or ball-handler, and as long as the ball is in his hands to be a playmaker I would be okay with it. He actually made some really gorgeous passes last season. My worry with that is if Grimes had the ball in his hands all the time that he would also get a lot of shots up, which, looking at his 38.4 FG% and 8.7 PER from last season, would probably not be a good thing for KU.
Kevin Durant to Memphis. He's been faking an injury this whole time. He just wanted a chance to play for Penny.
Tech has had a few players transfer recently. RJ to Tech?
Normally I would take 2 guys over 1, but sophomore Dotson just sounds too good to me in this case. I think I'd go with Devon. And you never know with recruits. Hampton seems like a pretty sure thing in terms of being a good college basketball player, but I really thought that about Grimes last season too and here we are. So I'd go with the known commodity here.
I'm pretty cool.
@Crimsonorblue22 Rockies
Waiting is hard. Thank god for baseball.
Or Jalen or Barnes or Cunningham.
Would definitely rather have Walker.
And you guys think that's Walker?
Hampton's twitter bio now reads: "your question will be answered soon... maybe, idk I'm kind of sleepy right now."
He also just tweeted that he wishes LE (Little Elm) all the best.
@BShark No I'm with you. I'd rather give playing time to DMac and Enaruna next season because they'll be around for multiple years and could turn into very good players.
Do we know when soon is?
Adidas should put all the money we had that was going to go to recruits that we missed and place it into an RJ Hampton fund.
@FarmerJayhawk Thank you.
@BShark And good luck to him.
@FarmerJayhawk I ride the struggle bus with social media sometimes. What does his bio say?
Man, that's a tough way to lose if you're Philly. I think that ball hit the rim and glass 4 or 5 times before it barely rolled in.
Why don't the players just wear Nike or Adidas or UA on their jerseys? Then we'd know who these players are really playing for.
I see. Thanks.
Is he likely to reclassify?
@FarmerJayhawk He's still 2020, right?
Wasn't Dotson working out with Tucker recently? I hope he's coming back to KU for his sophomore season...
Must have paid a pretty penny to get him. Hope we can get RJ.
Juzang to Kentucky as expected.
I didn't say he was. I said Marcus would be better than Releford if Marcus could shoot at all.
And no, Releford was not a great shooter. He was an okay shooter. 37% from 3 and 69.5% from the line is not a great shooter, sorry.
Memphis lands 4* SG Lester Quinones.
Statistically-speaking, Marcus isn't too far off from those two guys. He would be in their league if he was a better shooter. And neither Robinson or Releford were particularly great shooters, just okay. But Marcus' shooting is how you would expect your Center to shoot. If he could become just an okay shooter he would probably be better than Robinson or Releford.
LeBron is considered a top 5 player of all time by most people. Wade is probably the 3rd best shooting guard of all time behind Jordan and Bryant. And it's very difficult for me to say anything nice about Anthony...
But ya, the team on the left wins and it's not even close.
I'd rather have De Sousa than I would Holyfield or Achiuwa. But if we don't get Silvio back for next season, I'd rather have one year of the senior who can shoot 3-pointers and play defense.
@FarmerJayhawk This is exactly what I just told @BShark as well.
I like Kansas more than I hate Duke, so hand me the red pill, Morpheus.
Awesome get. Hopefully we're just getting started.
