Coleby and Mitch were collectively very good in this game! Very surprised to see that.
Lando came up clutch in the final minutes....He also got away with a couple fouls not called on him in the first half :wink:
But I also saw a couple calls go Baylors way in the 2nd half.
Also, I agree that Baylor is very very good this year. We could end up tying for the league crown with them and it wouldnt surprise me at all. They owe us one when we go to Waco. Im sure revenge will be on their minds. KU better come prepared and well rested as possible.

What IS the statute of limitations? its been nearly 2 years. To have this brought up so late kinda stinks to me. I mean, its almost like there is a 3rd party involved who has another motive besides "justice' in this case. Could $$$ be a factor? Revenge? What else>?
the game last night was a great game. It seems like our guys are just as focused on the court as ever. Im sure Coach has to continually play damage control with regard to said focus. But, its working. 2-1 in the last 3 games is exactly what I wanted to see.

this was a Huge win for us! Huge! Lando came up clutch in the final 2 minutes. Josh was the best player on the court, FRank had another killer second half to close it.

I would also like to stress that I am not condoning the use of recreational marijuana for athletic sports, for the work place, for anything that requires an adult to be well, an adult. @jayballer54 I hope not. that would be unfortunate. Its a punishment that does not fit the crime. Coach Self is a man of high integrity, he will do what is right in this case. All we can do as fans is talk about it on here and wait to see what happens.

I would like to expand on that if I may. I like being rational as much as possible. Rational without prejudgement is even better. Because, seriously anyone can make a rational argument for or against something and have prejudice attached to it, buried in there somewhere.
Regarding Vick. I smell a rat. I absolutely do not condone violence against women. If he did indeed transgress 2 years ago, it seems likely he would have been punished 2 years ago, yah? Yah. Why bring this out again? It doesnt make sense.
Lets not race to crucify Vick just yet shall we? As far as we know, he's been the picture of good behavior. Who here thinks Bill Self would let anything like this slide? No way in hell.
Regarding Carlton and the alleged evidence. ITS just weed people. Its NOT that big of deal. Fact, Kansas has not legalized it for any use medicinal or otherwise. Fact, Cannabis has dozens of medicinal purposes. Fact, weed was criminalized back in the 20's by a smear campaign from a wood baron who thought it would damage his business. It has remained illegal.
More opining than anything, I believe that players at KU should up hold their status as KU basketball players. FOLLOW THE RULES, go to class, play hard, study hard etc. If weed is illegal in Lawrence, but decriminalized, they need to keep their hands off it. Or, at very least, dont freeking get caught with it.

Guys, Carlton isnt the first player to get caught smoking weed, or have "paraphernalia" He probly wont be the last either. That said, it was a dummass move by Carlton right off his last run in with the Lawrence PD. Granted, he didnt do anything wrong that first time But still! Stupid move.
Kansas isnt likely to legalize marijuana anytime this century but I have to wonder, in Lawrence, do the cops go easy on everybody there with regard to that particular plant just because of the high profile presence of KU Basketball?
I mean, how many KU players in the last 25 years have been busted for having it? I know Brady Morningstar was a HUGE pot head. I wonder if the KU AD has had a talk with the Lawrence PD about unofficially decriminalizing small amounts of the plant or having pipes and junk?
Anywhere else in Kansas, its straight up jail time and a permanent charge on your record if Im not mistaken.
