@DanR Dude, I saw T Rob on the side streets of Lawrence, I walked up to him and said hi. He is a beast. Not tall like 6"10" + but still, he is a big guy.

@jaybate-1.0 Just now saw this... Good stuff! I fully agree. After I saw the game, I had to dvr it, I thought to myself," Gee I wonder if Coach Self purposely ran the game this way? If he purposely let his guys play with no amp, and basically have to walk a tight rope to win it in the last few minutes? He definitely went to his bench. 11 guys? We havent seen 11 play in a while.
@JayHawkFanToo Oubre is young and an athlete in prime shape. The staff will get him all better with IV fluids and rehydration and whatever else he needs.
@JhawkAlum If we played UK in a TRUE neutral sight later this season where there was equal amounts of KU colors and UK colors, I think we would have an excellent chance against them.

@JayHawkFanToo Why doesnt KU's 2 Helm's National Champ wins count for total of N.C's? Just because it changed to the NCAA, KU still has 5 National Championships. Most profiles or whatever say KU has 3 N.C's

@wissoxfan83 You are right Wissox, it is a crime. He should be punished accordingly. Putting his own life and other peoples lives in danger was a very stupid decision. My only point is if it were any other person, it wouldnt have made news locally at all, much less national headlines on the Espn site. Its just added BS that doesnt need to happen, the kid already has enough to deal with.

Just because he was a KU Basketball player it gets headlines on Espn? Geeeez. I hope he pulls through this ok.

@jaybate-1.0 Tough, tough schedule this next week, you are right about that. What I am hoping for is that Self will not need to amp them against ISU cuz its a revenge game and KU comes out ready to take the first punch, make them bleed and our home court advantage will spot us at least 5 in that game.
@JayHawkFanToo When ISU comes into AFH, KU will destroy them. We owe them one, big time! Its a revenge game for KU in the single most toughest place to play in Div 1. Did I mention we will destroy ISU? We absolutely do match up well with ISU this year.
As @jaybate-1.0 @jaybate-2.0 pointed out, KU has two centers that run the court and are finding their pace mid way through the conference. KU also has 5 guys that can shoot the trey at > 40% KU has never had that many shooters. KU also has two of the best point guards in the big 12. It wont be a contest, KU will destroy ISU. AND, if they end up playing for the conference tourney championship, KU will do it again.
@jaybate-1.0 Nice! Thats cool stuff. I hope Coach Self is making a list of how many ways he can win games. Outside in, inside out with a running center and whatever else he has done and may have up his sleeve. I'll also admit that mid way through the non con schedule, I had my doubts about this KU teams ability to last into March. They are making me a believer now.

Love him or hate him and Duke, you gotta give him big credit. 1K wins in 40 years is a big deal. Hall of fame stuff. I saw the espn thing on him. Good program. I have lots of respect to Coach K for this
@drgnslayr No doubt. I kind of think of Selden as comparable to Travis Releford. Travis ended up being a stud for KU his Jr and Sr seasons. Great on defense, decent with the ball in his hands, more of a slasher type but he could drain the trey, lights out. Selden is further along than Travis was his sophomore year but he could use some improving, just like everyone else.
I really really hope everyone comes back next season, regardless of what happens in March.

You are right though Drgn, now they have to bring it like they did at Texas every single game from now until the end. I am sure they will have another loss or two but thats ok. As long as it is a good loss, not a loss that could have been avoided by playing tougher, harder and smarter than the other team. We arent just talking the players here, we are talking everyone, the coaching staff, the trainers, everyone.
final thought; If KU wins the conference AND wins the conference tourney, how do they not get a #1 seed? Would there really be four other teams out there that are more worthy, more deserving of a 1 seed than KU? Kentucky, Duke, Virginia, yah sure but who else? No one that I can think of. No one has KU's tough schedule and the selection committee has to take that into consideration.

@jaybate-1.0 Yup. Those guys played their @$$#$ off today! Traylor, Selden, Cliff, Greene, Mason, Devonte, Oubre, Perry, Everyone that saw floor time earned it hard core. Ive never seen so many floor burns by KU in one game. They want #11 so bad they can taste it. They want to prove all the staticians and blog journalists wrong! And, theyre gonna do it too. We are barely half way thru the conference and KU is one up on the next best team. They will come out of January 7-1 and I thought they would be at 6-2. February is an all out grind though. Our boys better keep the foot to the gas pedal and barrel through it.
I saw a bit of bruise brothers 2.0 today too. It was great. What I didnt see was any 4 out 1 in sets by KU. I guess it shouldnt come as much of a surprise since they faced a long texas zone D that extended past the 3 pt line. Didnt matter though. We killed them. Huge Huge game. ROCK CHALK!!! #11

But, Kobe is an athlete, if he decides to come back he can do it. At this point though, Id be like man Im just gonna hang em up. 3 big injuries, if thats not a sign to step down then I dont know what is.
@JayHawkFanToo Ehhh, I disagree on the popularity m.o. He isnt up for a third term, he knows his numbers are down. I bet he is to the point that it doesn't matter to him if he is or isnt. Dudes short, hes got less than two years left in office that is basically painted red, He came to KU because KU is the mecca of college ball and he knows it. He came to lawrence and met with the team because he is a fan. Being a KU fan has no color, or race or religious affiliation of any kind. Being a KU fan is one of the great equalizers of life. Being a KU fan one of the things I am most proud of

@benshawks08 Man, Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Coach will bring a championship trophy back to Lawrence during Mason and Devonte's tenure in Lawrence, if we get the right group of guys around them. I think we are close.
