@Crimsonorblue22 So how early did Adidas start paying Mitch? JK I wish more of our recruits love KU the way he does.

Youāve got your hands full with these young āuns Bill!
@jayballer73 Capel would leave us on probation.
@kjayhawks Yeah, you donāt have to look too hard to see the doubters, even on this board. Lol
@KUSTEVE Iād like to see that game...with a full roster.
Sam Mellinger- If Kansas loses a preseason first-team all-conference player to a season-ending injury, another starter for six-games-and-counting to injury, and a third would-be starter to an NCAA suspension, while also having its top recruit underperform and a senior starter leave the team ... if ALL of that happens, and the rest of the league is STILL unable to knock the Jayhawks from power for even one season then it is an enormous collective failure that the nine other coaches must wear and accept.
I know Iāve said this before but Iāll keep saying it as long as people try to make the absurd point that winning a major college basketball league 14 years in a row is unimpressive:
Kansas would not have won league titles 14 years in a row in the ACC. North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky would not have won league titles 14 years in a row in the Big 12.
These are facts.

Game day garb.
Boogey when healthy is a load.
Ironic that the preseason #1 team doesnāt look likely to win their own conference.
The thing about the streak is, it wasnāt these kids streak. They didnāt start it. Most of this team didnāt truly get to be a part of it, other than the pressure.
Once the monkey is off their back by either winning or losing conference they can start taking ownership. Then we will see them flourish. Right now they seem stifled a bit.
Remember Billās best teams always have two lead (ball handling) guards. This team just has Dotson to fill that roll. (Garrett helps, but he doesnāt put pressure on the defense like Dotson does) Iām hopeful for a second viable ball handler to emerge (develop or recruit). In the meantime others need to step up into a role they are less comfortable in.
@Kcmatt7 oh, itās not like Kraft canāt afford a good lawyer. Heāll likely get off in court, but not in the publicās eye.
@wissox it was a sting op involving 100s of Johns. There is video, Kraft isnāt going to skate.
@Crimsonorblue22 douche nozzles gonna douche.
@Crimsonorblue22 I nearly hit a man wandering around on I-435 after a wreck one day. It scared the heck out of me, but not as much as him!
I was driving a straight truck for standard beverage back in my college days. I had just come up to speed and crested a rise when I saw a wreck in my lane. There were cars on either side of my truck, so I hit the brakes hard and turned on my blinker. When cars saw me in a truck slowing down they hurried to get in the other lanes making it impossible for me to get over. So I braked harder yet making the truck start to slide a little bit sideways, fully loaded. About then miraculously someone let me get over into the other lane. I hit the gas to straighten the truck out about 150 feet from impacting the wrecked cars. However a dazed man came walking around the car picking up broken glass and he squatted down in my lane!!! I hit the horn and the breaks and looked for an open lane. There was no opening, I had to decide between killing this man and wrecking the 2 cars beside me and the traffic behind them. In than millisecond I had to react he jumped on his hood and I was able to pass harmlessly by. Although I needed a change of drawers afterwards lol
Iām looking forward to seeing how Garrett integrates into the improving Jayhawks.
Iām disappointed Zions not a Jayhawk. If KUs going down in flames for paying players why didnāt they pay him?!? Tongue in cheek.
Had an extremely rough night.
@jayballer73 Definitely doesnāt smell like money. š
@KUSteve. Liberal is the armpit of Kansas. My summer helpers usually call it ālittle Mexicoā. The taxes are though the roof now too. Iām sorry you found yourself there. Too bad you werenāt 30 miles north.
@KUSTEVE none taken. Just having fun. Lol. Itās just fun to describe it as nice then spin it the other way with a firm stfo message.
@kjayhawks @kusteve Itās not the feedyard that smell horrible (they do stink) itās the processing plants (slaughter houses) thag stink up Dodge, Liberal, and Garden Cities. Liberal has the added bonus of allowing hog confinement in the county. Yum yum.
Thatās not where you want to be in western ks. The small towns are much nicer ironically -no slaughter houses. No homeless people problem. No exhaust smell, so it kinda freaks out city folks. The darkness of the country side sent my old roommate from Philly into a panic too. Fairly pristine, a guy can find himself. Peaceful, relaxing and the best steak in the US. You can openly mock grown men wearing skinny jeans as an added bonus.
But forget I said that. Itās boring. What if you donāt like the person you find with all that time on your hands? Smells horrible. Nothing to do or eat. Nothing to see or do. Please stay in your city. Lol we donāt want more people clogging up the countryside.
@Kubie It seems like half of Qās drives are charges. Heās slow. I had hoped he would be just reacting at this point in the season to speed him up some. Itās not the case though and heās physically slow and thinking too much also.
While KU may not be a top 10 team in our minds; they are ranked 12 behind 3 teams theyāve beaten (with Dok). I honestly believe KU has 2-3 losses and is ranked in the top 4 with a healthy roster all season. Oh well, Billās gotta earn his check this year!
Iāve always loved Vickās potential, but he has always been fairly reclusive. I was worried about him assuming a leadership position as it doesnāt fit his personality. I have never liked Vickās attitude nor his self destructive moments off the court, but I really hoped this second chance would bring him around.
Iām of the opinion you can mostly control your own happiness. If you choose to look for the negative in all you see, youāll be pretty miserable. If you choose to see the good in all you see, youāll have a much easier time being happy. I know when I walk around with a big smile on my face (real or fake) I get much friendlier responses than otherwise. So you reap what you sew.
As for Vick it seems (from my outside perspective) he struggles to find happiness within himself. I hope LeGerald finds what he needs.

Best mortuary commercial ever!
@tundrahok blowout.
No way he gets cleared for NCAA ball. I just thought it was funny he threw KUās name out to up his desirability.
Ironic thing is Grimes would be great as a Jr. at KU. The same season he would become eligible for a team after transferring. I really hope he sticks around, this freshman core could be special as upperclassmen, maybe sooner.
@jaybate-1-0 had me concerned near the end of his posts. He didnāt seem himself. I hope he is well and has found some sort of peace.
I still think KU crushes Kentucky with Dok. I was pumped about him being featured.
Luckily it wasnāt KUās typical big man luck and his injury was early enough to try and change up the style of play in time for the tourney.

Just have to win out. It nice to have control of the future once again.

More so every day...
@jayballer73 I watched KSU play Texas as well. I rarely, I mean almost never, watch a game not involving KU. However, I was stuck in a post meeting setting with 40 or so KSU fans of the group of 50. You are absolutely correct their style of play is unwatchable. Even the KSU fans didnāt care to watch, there were only 2 that I noticed watching even as intently as I was. The fans instead spent the game taking about how great they are going to be in football and how bad a hire Les is (I think theyāre scared). Most did check the acore, but didnāt care how it got there. Kinda like me and baseball just read the box score and get all you need. Not good fans in my books. I enjoy the fans that talk more about their accomplishments than running down their opponents. The fun thing is I was semi-undercover, strangers and no KU hat. I got to ask a few questions they couldnāt answer like when was KSUās lady final four? (1964)
@kjayhawks what was his road record? Like 17-34 before this season? Horrible.
Wow. KSU is 5-1 on the road in conference. Wish we could say that about KU! If KU wins out they still need KSU to stumble somewhere along the line. Not a great spot to be in, but KUās been in worse shape and pulled it out. š¤
@wissox in the theme of the thread donāt forget the Imodium.
I donāt give a crap about a some stool from KSU either! Iām sure heāll leak out onto the court again next season. Really clingy on defense; hard to wipe clean with a screen. One may say heās a bit too loose on offense though.
@BShark you started it!
@mayjay Happens to me too and Iām not claiming to be old. Lol

Last night was unique in both volume and intensity. Ignoring a couple comments is different than wading through a bunch. I guess I will just go back to not participating in the game thread. I definitely find that better anyway in terms of being able to follow the action instead of looking at my phone keyboard.

I generally skip it until after the game, but I was stuck in a hotel in Denver last night. Normally my feed is behind and Iām watching the game with friends and/ or family.
Heck, I enjoy the game over comments at the end too, as long as itās their last comment.
Lots of fan police here. Iām guilty myself. I hate reading some run Self into the ground every chance they get. I now just ignore the main offender. Iāve realized I can not carry on a civil disagreement with some and the discussion that follows will always lead to nastiness, so I just donāt start the conversation. I despise reading posts of some who canāt handle the game time pressure but really appreciate other things they post, so I take the good with the bad. Iām trying my best to not let people I donāt really know impact my fun, hope you can too.

I am just glad the players didn't become as negative as this board did when KU fell behind. Seems like it becomes a contest to see who is first to announce we are toast. Fortunately, the team noticed that over 2 mins were left in the game.
I donāt feel this comment is directed at me, but... if the team didnāt prove those negative thoughts mostly right in the road it would happen less. We fans are used to all American guard play and the poise that goes with it. Thatās not simply going to happen this year. I am fullly expecting to get frustrated, irritated, and flat out pissed at their poor play and overwhelmed with happiness and pride when they do good.
Forgive my emotion as I genuinely care about KU basketball. Itās impossible for me to enjoy the wins without suffering thru the losses.
@BShark KJ came up with a couple huge buckets. His best game so far imho
