Some of the things which we all historically gave Self the benefit of the doubt on have been discussed in more depth this year. And someone has to be at the extremes since we are all different people. So I hesitate to endorse throwing all the shade at one or two people. And while I dont think we should all be extremist (therein lies madness and misery) those who are more polar do facilitate the tension that is necessary for discourse.
As long as we have their endorsement to call them trolls to cut the tension ;) block is there for a reason obviously, but I have kind of soured on cancel culture personally.
It’s not cancel culture to ignore someone. That’s in no way harming them, doxing, or punitive. It’s freedom of speech for him to spew his anti-Juan propaganda and it’s freedom of speech for anyone to ignore it. I usually just scroll by, but I make no bones about it - I’m still ignoring his tired drivel.
There is no point in discourse. It always circles back around to the same argument that he has zero solution to, just a fixation on the perceived issues. It’s like some that accuse others of being like hitler, racist, sexiest, homophobic, etc. it does absolutely nothing to forward the conversation and instead turns it into an unproductive pissing match.
@Kcmatt7 6 wins for KU football is a lot of optimism historically. Which QB is going to show up - good Jaylen or bad Jaylen? That’s likely the difference between 4-6 wins and 8-10.

I don’t hate the refs allowing them to play. Just keep it safe.

When they didn’t get that big bump in production after Christmas break like usual, it seemed like a really bad sign. The team just isn’t clicking. Almost all of Bill’s teams have shown drastic improvement over the break, but not this one. They just aren’t jelling for whatever reason - it looks like some players aren’t buying in. Too many weak links on defense and the offense is clueless at times. I don’t have any answers, but I do think lower expectations are correct.
I think he threw his hands up after contact trying to draw a foul. It’s not uncommon. Doesn’t matter. He missed the front end of the free throws.
It’s becoming more obvious as the season wears on that Bill is playing the guys he is because the others are so inconsistent. He has to play most of his bench each night to figure out who’s going to bother to show up that night to fill out the minutes.

An elite QB will always make the most positive impact of a single player. Having the third or 4th best QB is a way better asset than having the best RB in the league. @kjayhawks - MVP will likely be either Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson this year.
Josh has been knocked out of the playoffs 4 times by Mahomes in his 6 years. That’s a pretty strong C Block. Once by Brady too - not too shabby. Allen may break thru or he may not, but he is a very good quarterback. - I’d take him over anyone not named Mahomes currently (but Jayden Daniels is rapidly growing on me).
I’d prefer KJ off the bench, but just getting Flory consistent minutes should pay dividends.

We were up 6 with what 20 seconds to go heading to the free throw line. The 6 year senior should be able to make one free throw to get us over the hump.

That is one of the plays that could have won the game in regulation, but not the last one. There were more blunders to get there. It was a team loss, don’t put it on the guy with 11 assists for missing two free throws.
I wonder how many of the upset fans are bettors? I’d probably be pissed at the Chiefs if I put money on the game instead of enjoying the season. I’m curious what percentage of outrage is cost by an ill placed bet? Or is just about a game not going as hoped? Social psychology curiosity
