@mayjay Crap who’d the Royals dump today? Moss yesterday and...?
3rd round pick for a pro-bowl QB?
Is there a reverse box and one? Where Dok just roams the paint and the four guards play man 2 man?
@Crimsonorblue22 lol
Svi needs to make 31 more to tie Boschee for the most 3pt makes in a single season at 110. Billy Thomas is second at 105.
@BeddieKU23 For me it does, but that’s another weird one. Kind of a mullet. Might be handy if you forget a pillow...
It was weird watching that fruit loop attempt ballet during the game interview. Worst hair in the Big12 to boot.
Not a Bruce fan here, but the results he gets are exactly what I want out of Beaty.
@BShark That would be nice, but i think for now would you need to post a link as a buffer.
If you need a booster get a couple kids and send them to school. You’re immune system will be top notch no time!
Every good rivalry has a good villain. Bruce qualifies. Ass clown deluxe.
And the end of the world begins shortly after the biosecurity lab opens in Manhattan...only appropriate I suppose. The Spanish influenza started in HS co KS. The state may as well start another good pandemic.
@bshark Are you saying it's on Howard?
@Jayballer54 I am rather amazing.
@BeddieKU23 Yeah, the team goes to crap when Devonte' is on the bench. I hope he's getting used to the minutes I doubt they go down in March. The good thing about the tourney is there are a little longer breaks during the game. It partially eliminates the advantage that deep teams have.
@Jayballer54 yes I am. Ku isn't good enough to overcome 3 turnovers a minute. This team is on a razors edge between winning and losing every stinking game and Silvio's plus minus is horrid, by far the worst in the team and I don't think you have to even weight it for minutes played. 4-5 minutes for Silvio may be too long. Silvio is not ready yet. He's a high schooler with no offseason under his belt. There is no way an additional 2-3 minutes of game time will help him. Expose him as not ready maybe, but prepare him? Please!?! That's what practice is for the little bit of game time he gets is to gage his progress. Remember when Vick was a world beater? Well better opposition has ended that run and Silvio didn't get to play against the scrubs in non con, so he didn't get that advantage. Next year he'll be fine, this year it would take a miracle or a much more talented player (like Preston, Bagley, or Ayton) a marginally talented guy (multi-year player) like Silvio isn't likely to make an impact until the end of his first full year at best. A more reasonable projection is to see how he does his Jr year. That's when I expect him to make an impact, both roster wise and developmentally. Anything we get this season is a bonus.
Silvio is truly bad right now. There is no way to get him in the floor longer without throwing the game at this point. His seasoning is mostly for next year and hopefully, if we are lucky, spot minutes in March. Silvio has a big leg up on next year, but is so far behind this year I’m not sure he can be much help.
If you want to cry (I nearly did yesterday) go watch Billy Preston’s highlights from the pre-season games. He is exactly what’s missing from this years team to make it dominant.
There are lots of KSU fans locally and none of them are big on Weber. Many want him gone, some just don’t care.
Travis Releford was awesome at making layups, but Frank figured out how to finish through contact early on. That guy was amazing! Mason drove into the defender’s body to put him on his heels and draw the foul. It was science by his Sr. year. DG just doesn’t have the body to take that kind of pounding, but he has done much better at drawing contact. Hopefully Devonte’ can get his legs back under him and that helps him finish at the rim better. (We haven’t seen the cramping issue pop up yet, but fatigue sets in when you don’t get breaks)

Humble pro athlete? You lost me at humble.

Great player, not so humble. If people would stop trying to make him into Mother Teresa he might catch less flak.
"I'm obviously hoping for a turnaround. I mean, it's kind of a big target on our back right now. I just kinda wanna be a supporter, the best that I can," Leveon Bell said. "And I want Michigan State to be the top of the class -- basketball, football, all that, all athletics -- make things go the right way. This can kinda go down the line, and people kinda forget about it because we did a lot of positive things more so than negative things coming out of the university."
That is part of the problem. You can’t forget or it will happen again. It happened, own it and figure out how to become better because it happened. Don’t bury your head in the sand.
"This fall, and this was a very tough decision for me, but this fall I will be taking my talents to South Beach and joining the Miami Heat."
"Cleveland fans are awesome, but I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court," LeBron
Hell of a player, not such a great sport.
"All the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today."
"They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.
"They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point."

@BShark You always think this team is losing.
Marcus doesn’t make the bone headed mistakes that Sam makes and Bill can’t stand mistakes. More so than making plays, I believe Bill wants to see no mistakes. That raises the floor, but also lowers the ceiling.
@mayjay Did you see the achilles tendon rupture on the Chiefs Chris Conley when it happened?
@mayjay I didn’t realize Chalmers hurt his Achilles. That’s got to be a career ender for him at this stage.
@mayjay Oh snap! My eyes must’ve been crossed. (And it’s not just in the article once...) Applies to Eric Berry not Brandon Rush.
I like playing Kentucky. I don’t mind playing Florida. I don’t care about the rest of the SEC. I was really hoping TaM would not lose any games until KU played them as that would look awesome beating a top 5 team like a drum, but they’ve fallen apart in league play.

I recently wrote about how players have performed coming back from Achilles injuries, noting that Rudy Gay of the San Antonio Spurs is on track to become only the fourth player out of 18 comebacks since 1990 to meet or exceed his pre-injury projection the following season.
Gay's example provides hope but, on average, players coming back from Achilles injuries see their production decline by about 8 percent compared to what we would project based on their past performance and age. The good news is Cousins is so dominant he can afford to decline by 8 percent and remain a very good player. Nonetheless, it's possible that this injury will rob us of the peak Boogie we saw this season in New Orleans. And that has huge ramifications for both him and the Pelicans.
I found this to be interesting that they have quantified the production decline following an ACL tear. Would an 8% better Brandon Rush be a started in the NBA? Or 16% better following his 2nd ACL tear in 2012?
@benshawks08 Left wrist, but it was ligament damage. It takes a long time to get the ligaments healed up and stretched back out.
@Barney That’s been my fear all along. It’s why I’ve been lobbying for Dok to play through fouls as long as the other team isn’t in the bonus. He’ll have plenty of time to sit.
They all poison!
And then there is Mitch (I am paraphrasing from memory)- “Does it bother you when Coach Self is yelling at you?” Holly (I believe)
Mitch, “No. Last year he didn’t yell at me at all and I didn’t get to play.”
@wissox Just razzing you. I know who he is, #1 HS players, #1 draft pick, didn’t play for KU. It’s my give a :poop: about an LSU player that is broken. Lotsa great players in the NBA, but I only care about KU guys. For me the best thing about the NBA is it inspires tons of talented kids to try and get that money and the by-product is fantastic college basketball.
Dok can be insured for several million dollars against injury. That may be more than his rookie contract and unless he gains more skill and a little range a second contract will be hard to come by.
I’m guessing it’s more attitude related than anything else. I hope he can get his mindset right, so we can see Sam play.

Guaranteed mediocrity (at best) on the defensive side of the ball next season in KC. Poor Justin Houston, what a waste of talent.
@wissox Who’s Ben Simmons? ;)
Well @HighEliteMajor, @nuleafjhawk, @HawkChamp, @kjayhawks, and myself have declared our innocence! Was it you @Statmachine? Are you trying to throw us off your trail?!?
After the game, Kansas coach Bill Self said it was a "bad decision" on his part to leave Azubuike in the game, though added he didn't want to hurt the sophomore's confidence, either.
On Wednesday night, Self said on his weekly radio show that he checked on Azubuike earlier that morning.
"I said, 'Doke, [did the] sun come up today? You OK? ... I kind of put you out there, didn't I?" Self said of the exchange.
"He said, 'No, no, you didn't at all.' I said, 'I put you out there. I apologize for that. But I think you and I should get together and we've got to correct this, don't we?'"
6’11.5” was in 2015 also. I thought someone claimed he grew a couple of inches, but those may be the KU inches.
@HighEliteMajor Admittedly you were the first person I thought of. Although it could’ve been half the people in the state (the half with good taste).
🤔👊🤐
6’11.5” in shoes is shorter than I thought, but the wingspan is very impressive.

Y’all see this? http://www2.kusports.com/news/2018/jan/24/police-called-suspicious-person-offering-free-thro/ ↗
I hope we don’t know this person. 🤦♂️
I don’t know about the yips, but you can see that the prospect of having to shoot free throws takes any joy away from Dok. And ones even ruin his mood- Dok can’t celebrate the dunk, he has to dread the free throw. I hope Dok can improve on the line, I think it’ll set his mind free and we’ll see a much improved overall game from him.
