@Crimsonorblue22 I'd gladly take it!
How many different ways did Graham miss? Rough shooting half for him.
I guess when you can't support the actions of your guy in the White House it becomes easier to attack the past than to deal with the present.

@dylans The deal is the best for the school(puke).
I don't know that it will be long term. It looks like a payday today, but at what long term cost? My dollars aren't much, but we are legion...
@REHawk Kinda tempers the passion a bit when a guy can't even see the product he loves. This is a case of absence makes the heart forget.
If you can, watch the games on ESPN3.com I've been watching them about 10 minutes after they finish on live tv. Only way I can watch my beloved Hawks.
She-man Zenger needs to drive the 6 1/2 hours out here and see why we can't just show up for every game. Or realize that Time Warner isn't even an option.
@Hem you're right, the culture must change. And that starts at home. All races have their own issues, some are compounded by other races. Whites and a minority (Asians) score the best in school. They have another thing in common: The highest rate of two parent homes.
The good Lord helped us through ways we didn't see coming. He provided the money to pay for the lawyers (the way I see it) so the girls ended up where they are safe and belong...Far from that evil woman and in the loving home of their grandparents.
My (white) brother was murdered by his ex-wife and the police still don't give a fuck. Don't think discrimination by police is just for minorities. Many officers and DA's are lazy pieces of crap.
It looks like, to me, that Bragg is the most talented player on the floor. Once he figures it out he'll be special. He really needs to get more heighth on his hi-low passes, but he's already shown great vision. He just needs to figure out the execution. I'm really excited about Bragg if you can't tell!
@Crimsonorblue22 Both legs? ouch! Poor guy.
@nuleafjhawk Luckily her sons are actually quite hansom. If they had resembled Quasimoto...
Bragg looks like the best player on the team. Most upside of anyone who played last night. I expect ups and downs from any freshman though. Now let's see Diallo to know what we really have.

Said the guy sitting in the living room full of 22 year old bikini models?!?!?!
That could be heaven, but more likely hell. Give me Diallo!
@drgnslayr About $180 with shipping and tax.
New dribblin' ball for the 5 year old. :) Call the KUStore in Lawrence if you want one. 1-785-864-1119 No Wiggins, so no sell out threat until they win it all...
Excited? I know I am!!!
Bedore: Self says three-guard lineup likely to start ↗
Kansas University basketball coach Bill Self, who has tinkered with all sorts of combinations since the start of practice on Oct. 2, said the three-guard lineup of Frank Mason III, Devonté Graham and Wayne Selden Jr. will likely start Wednesday’s 7 p.m. home exhibition game against Pittsburg State.
Dodd: Cheick Diallo not expected to play in KU’s exhibition opener Wednesday ↗
It appears the NCAA’s ruling on the eligibility of Kansas freshman Cheick Diallo could come down to a buzzer-beater.
Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self said Monday that he was hoping for a “definitive” answer on Diallo’s status before the Jayhawks’ regular season opener against Northern Colorado on Nov. 13 at Allen Fieldhouse.
Remind her that her family didn't come over on the original 3 ships. They to get hung up on that Daughters of the Revolution junk...
Is that white after labor day? gasp!
Southern hospitality is great, but a lot of the traditions of exclusion could go.
WoooHooo! One down!!!

Have you seen the videos on Lightfoot?
Yes, I watched the highligh reel above and my optimism dropped. He looks short and barely getss above the rim. He's not the 6'10" 210# athletic baller that I had hoped.
He has some very great dunks and rebounds and all evaluations I have seen consider him to be an "elite athlete" with a high level motor athlete. This is what [Fraschilla said about him:]
I don't value Fran's hyperbole. It's his job to hype kids up. If I 99% of kids had a Sam Dekker kind of year they'd be happy.
“If Mitch were to have a Sam Dekker college career, I think he would be very happy with that,” Fraschilla said. “Sam is a little bigger, Mitch might be a little more explosive, but I think being compared to Dekker is just a testament to what people think about Mitch.
"I told him to continue to work on his ball handling and his ability to play away from the basket so he doesn’t get locked into one spot. I think at the college level he’s going to be a small forward; his athleticism is off the charts.”
I would like to see where you got the information that he is "marginally athletic."
Marginally athletic thru KU jaded eyes. He's not elite nor will he be with work, but he could be a valuable asset.
I just watched the above highlight video and formed my own opinion. Try it some day. You don't have to be told everything. And no, it's not because he's white, it's because he's slow and looks like he will be blocked repeatedly until he speeds up.
Here's how I see the potiental Lightfoot signing. Better to sign the 99th ranked guy now and continue to court the elite bigs, than to let him go and end up with Lucas and Anderson. No elite big man will be scared away by a 6'6"(judging by above "highlight" video) marginally athletic Mitch.
I'd love to sign a under-ranked 4 year player with no pressure to go pro, but pressure to learn Bill's system and make everyone else better...

@Statmachine Do the players read posts on this web site??
duh. It's required reading. :)
@Lulufulu I was just assuming Diallo would OAD this year after a national championship. I was in CYA mode after the mass exodus following such a win. Fox and Graham for Mason. Coleby for depth and consistency. 100% Greene for Svi. Unknown Stud 3 for Selden. Maker for Mickelson. Bolden for Diallo. Lightfoot for Traylor.
@Crimsonorblue22 Yeah, Coleby has had a terrible summer. Poor guy! At least he's Jayhawk!!!
No good. Everyone would've benefited from his year of practice.
I wonder if anyone on the KUfootball chat site is talking about basketball?
Medcalf: Bill Self, Kansas and the meaning of a 12th consecutive Big 12 title ↗
October means teams will soon begin practicing, and college basketball season tips off next month. So, which questions need answering? Today, we look at Bill Self’s push for a 12th consecutive Big 12 title and what that run means to Kansas basketball.
Bill Self, sporting a navy blue suit with a Jayhawks pin on the left lapel and a solid maroon tie that punctuated the ensemble, rose, approached the microphone on the dais and spoke to his new fans.
@hem I do think it's negative. I don't think it's a big deal as Cliff is an undersized low skilled big with little to no potiental at the next level. (Selby was highly skilled, but injured.) Cliff seems coachable so maybe he'll take off somewhere, but it's a long shot for him to have a productive NBA career.
I hope kids will take it for what it is, a couple of precautionary tales. One about leaving too early because of an over-inflated self opinion. One about leaving too early because of d.a. family members.
Most likely if I was another coach I'd say that Bill did this to these players, but I'd avoid pointing out how many suspect bigs he got into the league.
To all the sky's falling KU won't sign another elite recruit ever crowd: Look at the roster and tell me where the minutes are going to be easy to come by? If no one goes pro (something recruits have to consider) Mason Sr., Graham Jr., Selden Sr. Svi Jr. Greene Sr. (no perimeter minutes.) Down low Coleby Sr. Lucas Sr. Bragg So. KU needs 2-3 bigs, but even then if they shy from competetion this isn't the place to go.
KU's best recruiting years usually precede massive exiting classes giving ample minutes for the young prima dona's to cling to. They also underachieve as freshmen almost always do. #1 recruiting class on a gutted roster usually equals an early March exit. Siging a top recruiting class with little minutes to offer is difficult without cheating.
Bill will sign a big or three. Hopefully it's the right mix of top talent, emerging talent and develpemental talent. I'm thinking one year one immediate impact player, one guy who emerges late, and one we wonder if he'll transfer. The third one is key to long term success though.
Cliff was dealt a raw hand and lashed out at who he could. Cliff was not very good early, but was being brought along and given more minutes. He would've starred down the stretch if you believe what Bill said (best player in practice after suspension). Oubre should've gotten more minutes early though, to me he looked better with more court time. Alexander looked better with more practice.
KU landed recruits after an over-rated Selby, surely KU will land recruits after a over-rated Alexander.
Don't forget about the Wiggins effect. Having a budding star in the NBA will help.
KU #1? Andy Katz seems to like our 'hawks this season.
@crimsonorblue22 I've never heard good things about Canadain barbecue. I'm sleep deprived and hungry. Mexican sounds good, but there's lotsa gun violence. Hmm maybe there's a corrolation between good food and gun violence. How's the food in the middle east?
@Crimsonorblue22 No flavor.
smh All I have to say on the subject is Canada sucks, so it's not a fair comparison, eh?
@HighEliteMajor You caught me in a weak moment. Sorry. I'll put myself on probation regarding the subject. Fine myself my whole paycheck, to be paid to my wife. No promises about not teeing off on the next KSU screw-up though. :)
Thanks for the constructive criticism. Please take this the same way, keep to your more positive posts and game analysis. I think you have the same issues I do. You'd fire everyone for incompetence (Self included) and nobody would be good enough to hire. Your GM skills leave a little to be desired, but I think you'd be a great coach! This is not intended as a dig; it's just my interpretation of your personality on KUBuckets.
@approxinfinity Any chance of pulling in the news feeds like you tried earlier?
@Crimsonorblue22 Sorry just read this article. http://www2.kusports.com/news/2015/sep/09/column-k-state-apology-sorry-excuse-apology/ ↗
:)
@nuleafjhawk Don't beat your head against the wall. KU football will not win any games barring a fluke. Just look for the positives. The team is in building mode for 3 years. If they aren't a .500 team in 3 years then vent with both barrels. For now it's expected. Save the bulk of your passion for b-ball. With any luck the b-ball team will have as many losses as the football team has wins...
2 grand slams in one inning? Ouch! 4-6 becomes 14-6. Ouch! Being a Royals fan... As good as its been for decades. At least they are good enough for the losses to hurt now.
Holy cow @jaybate! Have a bit to say? I 'bout broke my thumb scrolling. :)
I had a KSU fan "fly" across the room to poke the mouth of the Jayhawk on my shirt yesterday. I don't think they are shamed... Once again I just laughed at their complete, unabashed ignorance to why this is socially and morally unaccepable. Doesn't paint them in a very good light.
My only real concern is they turn into another group of classless antlers. I don't want a rival like that. Hatred doesn't make a good rival; you should be able to respect one another before, during, and after the games are played. (But good natured ribbing is to be expected)
@Crimsonorblue22 I hope so, but it only takes one bad apple...
It's classless and crude. I found it funny, but not the same way KSU fans are. I'm laughing at them. They have no idea why this is wrong. It truly shows the class of the KSU fanbase.
I am so privileged to be a member of the Jayhawk family.
We were all elevated by Coach Brown and we owe him eternal gratitude for demanding our fanbase be classy.
Keep is classy Lawrence!
@drgnslayr Funny! My real issue with this is I live in Kansas and this is how we are being portrayed? I don't care to be associated with this junk period.
Just a loaded question for an impartial group. I'm assuming everyone has seen the KSU marching band making the Jayhawk eat a d++k. After KSU had their students sign a sportsmanship pledge, the wonderful band dirrector had them pull this stunt. So my question is: Would the KU band instructor still have a job today if he pulled the same stunt.
I've also noticed that KSU fans are so classy that they are all ashamed and none are defending their irrational actions... hahaha alternate dimension.
haters gonna hate.
@jaybate-1.0 I have no idea how all the money is wasted. I do think it qualifies as government waste as they could've made Adidias appropriate the money differently. For instance a waddling track for the corn fed women of Nebraska.
I do know a few months ago a storage locker with Rodrick Stewart's KU stuff in it was auctioned off. There was his game warmups, several pairs of shoes, and a huge duffle and I can't remember what all else. It was a laundry pile of Adidas stuff. No doubt several thousand dollars retail.
I wonder (and am too lazy to research) how many student athletes benefit from this money and how much it breaks down to?
But for now I don't give a care as I'm at the hospital awaiting the arrival of a new Jayhawk fan!
@MoonwalkMafia It's a crazy world take care of yourself. When you get time leave a post this site could use a quality poster as yourself.
