Crazy Denver play with Bo Nix catching a pass for TD

Denver v. Baltimore is getting ready to start. KC still has to play Denver twice and the Denver defense is number 1 in several categories. Oh yeah, and Bo Nix is playing pretty darn well. So, Bucs, then the Broncs; an interesting 8 days for KC. And the last day for trades is Tuesday.

So capacity is now 15,300. I'm sure the 1000 seats weren't great, but still present in the arena.

Good win; the Raiders always play their best game against KC. Great to see Kelce have a good game. I sure hope Mahome's ankle is OK. I had to take a break during the flag fest in the 3rd Q. Message to NFL refs: Stop throwing flags on consecutive plays over and over. That takes all the enjoyment out of the game.

Yes, the Chiefs beat both teams, but I'm sure the TD/INT ratio bothers or concerns Mahomes and KC coaches. Thank goodness KC's defense is playing so well.

Let's look at some AFC QB stats: in 7 games Lamar Jackson 1810 passing yds, 15 TDs, 2 INTs; Burrow 1750 yds, 14 TDs, 2 INTs; and in 6 games, Mahomes 1389 yds, 6TDs, 8INTs. OUCH! I sure hope Hopkins gets some of the targets that Brown and Rice would have had but for injuries. Maybe that will help our QB

What year end changes are necessary to get the football program on track with our expectations? Fire Grimes and Borland today and start the job search immediately? I'm just as disappointed with the defense as the offense; well almost as disappointed-the offense has just been awful compared with my preseason expectations. Oh, and don't give me the "good loss" or "close loss" crap on the KState game. Only a win over KState matters.

This is the game I would worry about the Chiefs taking off and losing. Kareem Hunt is injured, no wide receivers and KC faces the lowly Raiders. 6-1. I'd sure like to see Mahomes get through this game without an interception. I wonder how many of his 8 INTs weren't his fault, like the end zone interception against the Niners where the pass went off the receiver's hands? I always like it when the Chiefs pound the Raiders, but we'll see.

I haven't seen the new AFH capacity, but I'm guessing the charity exhibition is at Arkansas because it seats 19,000+. Second year running that our charity exhibition has been away.

I sure hope KC continues to dominate SF. Mahomes stats don't look good at all: only 6 passing TDs vs. 6 INTs. YIKES. But, 5-0 baby. I'm really looking forward to Late Night tonight. I don't have a feel for the starting lineup, which still matters to me despite what Coach Self says. But, since the two scrimmaging teams are somewhat balanced, I doubt I'll still have a hint at the other two starters until the Arkansas scrimmage on October 25. I don't know if I get the SEC Network so I need to start the scramble now to watch the Arkansas scrimmage.

Brock Purdy & the Niners are 1.5 pt favorites over the Chiefs Sunday. That doesn't seem right to me. The Niners are 3-3 with losses to the Rams and Cardinals. I fully expect the Chiefs to dominate this. Of course when I expect a win-well you know...

So, Flory Bidunga or Justin Cross will be the first big off the bench? Come on now, don't leave me hanging. I remember several months back, Coach Self saying Clemence was playing well: something like he was the most improved player. Other than Coach saying Zeke was playing the best and would probably start, I just haven't heard anything about this years players beyond the injuries.

I'm not seeing any news or discussions about KU Basketball even though Late Night is Oct 18 and the Ark scrimmage is Oct 25. Starters: Dickinson, Adams, Storr, Mayo and Harris?
