@BShark - it almost sounds like KU might acquire a 3 who handle the ball somewhat effectively against any kind of press, to the point of bringing the ball up part way. KU didn’t have that working well last year. Height and/or experience at the 3 has interesting possibilities beyond shooting.

Also curious... it doesn’t look like Jalen Wilson is following anything KU related on Twitter. 🤔

Probably means nothing (or it means these eyes aren’t working well this late) 🙄

@jayballer73 - Yes, it is late in the game. However, there are decent, 3-4 year players left from which to choose. UNC has spots open, Michigan, maybe Memphis, etc. I’m just pleased HCBS can scrabble this together. Heck, with Moss and Wilson, it’s a Top 5-10 team. And there’s still an open scholarship for a developmental guy.

My (our?) personal stress aside, waiting could have helped KU turn out a fantastic team.. 🤔

Since Moss committed to Arkansas, KU couldn’t approach him. So how does Walker fit in? Is the thinking that Moss waited to see what Walker would do? Surely not.

I’m curious as to why Moss decided to reopen his recruitment....

Wilson, Moss, and Bilau FOR THREE! (i.e., noting the KU need for shooting AND three extra schollies.)

McTait on Twitter this morning, regarding Garrett. Tait caught up with Garrett at the Washburn basketball camp.

“Garrett said he’s still recovering from that high ankle sprain and is about 90-95 percent. Shut it down for nearly all of April & May to recover. Didn’t even do much shooting... Said he feels great today though & is happy to be back to work.”

So he hasn’t been working on his shot?

So does Luinstra have to sit a year before he can play? Just curious...

As an aside, every time I see the title of this thread, I marvel at it. “OBVERSATION” is a great title for “OBSERVATION + CONVERSATION”. Well done, Jayballer! Well done!

At the end of the video he says “one and done”. He won’t due that with a path through Kansas. He’s 4th or 5th BIG at best in 2019/20.

Many posters on Memphis Twitter accounts think Tucker failed to graduate and can’t transfer. They think he will therefore stay in the draft, opening up another spot for Memphis.

If Dotson leaves and Grimes comes back, Grimes would have the opportunity to be primary PG, which he thinks is his best position.

@HighEliteMajor - I believe so. Can’t return to college though. I dunno what happens if the player then signs with an NBA team. Playing overseas would work, like it did for Billy Preston. Isn’t Preston eligible for this year’s draft?

I believe currently, if they in the draft but aren’t drafted, the benefit is that you can also enter the draft the following year, but not return to college... amiright?

IIRC, RJ Hampton wanted to be on campus (summer school?) this summer. Last day of enrollment is June 3 for new students with classes starting June 4. Should know something by then?

Just looked at Achiuwa’s Twitter bio. It ends with “WHATIF”. His only post with that hashtag is for Memphis. Is he letting us know early?

With Boogie at Memphis for a visit, I'd hate to think Precious is leaning toward KU because RJ might go to Memphis? Not the same positions? Or maybe I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall. Things look TOO good?

China? Seems hard to get info from over there. Players that have gone seem to have fallen in a hole with no headlines about them. These kids thrive on headlines in US papers. China ball isn’t very good. Yet.

FWIW, Adam Zagoria (ZAGSBLOG about all levels of hoops) was suspended on Twitter. Rumor is, he offended some U of AZ fans. 🙄

According to Zagsblog.com, Lester Quinones (6’6” SG) is down to Indiana and Memphis. If he chooses Memphis, what are the ramifications for Hampton and others? Announcement Friday, 5/10.

@jayballer73 - recruits seem to be enjoying the weekend scene at KU. Maybe it’s just us older folks need the fix.
