Pete Thamel wrote an article asking how Sean can keep his job. Arizona fans are all over him on Twitter, claiming KU and Self are far worse off. Total denial Sean did anything wrong, claiming it’s all “hearsay”. Very entertaining.
@Woodrow - crud. They have playing time, a good coach and players, upcoming team. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him there. That could be a nightmare for KU... 🤬
@FarmerJayhawk - didn’t the Jayhawks carry an open scholarship this year? That would make it 5 available?

Jake Weingarten on Twitter is saying Kyree Walker might reclassify to 2019, with KU and Arkansas being the leaders. Additional comment is that KU now has a chance to land two 5* guards this year. Interesting....

@jayballer73 - just read on Yahoo Sports where wiretaps won’t be heard and Miller and the LSU coach won’t testify. Not relevant to this particular case. So... those schools get off free without penalty to players? SMH...

I have no reason not to believe Falamagne. He has receipts and has denied receiving money. While he may have wanted the $60K, I see nothing verifying he took it or the $20K. KU stipulated to it, but that was to get resolution for SDS, wasn’t it? The NCAA didn’t move on his case until the stipulation, meaning they didn’t have enough until then. The NCAA just held SDS hostage....

The “Coach Self won’t be there next year” appears to be the most effective recruiting strategy being used against KU. Signees are still going to schools that may be on NCAA Tournament probation, but they still get to play, sharpen their skills and set themselves up for the draft. In other words their coach is far important than post season titles. If KU could get HCBS to sign an extension ASAP, maybe recruiting will pick up. Otherwise, this situation is similar to former KU coach Roy Williams saying “I’m not interested in other jobs”?

Folks, I’m feeling relieved it’s over for this year. I never enjoy a KU loss and there was something missing this year, something undefinable. Was it lack a defined leadership, lack of “team”, lack of a will to win? The NCAA trial and investigation?
Maybe it’s as simple as a defense that can’t guard the 3 point line, a seeming common thread over the years.
At least now, we can discuss recruiting, hope for SDS to get cleared, see who’s returning, talk football and do any number of things. (Sigh) I know in my heart that this reasonably successful year is still a down year for KU fans.
This year started with such promise! It ended with yet another early round loss. But... hope springs eternal.

Who else thinks the NCAA will draw conclusions from partial information, then dare KU to prove it wrong? Seems like they did the same thing to SDS. Now granted, they may have access to more info on SDS than we do, but it seems only thing they have is uncorroborated testimony. It could cause KU to come out guns blazing (or to lay down and take their punishment). It will be an interesting spring and summer....
