Frustrating that SH went through that drought and we couldn't extend the lead more.....

@BShark Yes, I debated between UK and Arizona...went with Arizona because of Ayton.....wish I could have that back.

I remember seeing UMBC play in their conf championship game. Don't remember any details, but I was thinking...they don't look that good....I hope we play them. UVA is going to have a tough time coming back given that they play such a deliberate offense.

@JayHawkFanToo You make good points. SH played a very good game yesterday. I know I feel uneasy because we know Doke will not be 100%.........we don't even know if he will be 80%.

I say only in an emergency....and hopefully there won't be one. In the video of the open practice he looked pretty stiff in that brace. Maybe you argue some game action in the brace might be a good idea to get him used to playing in it before we really need him. I guess it all depends on how much of a risk of a set back.

@jayballer73 I do not think either of those have accomplished enough to make them a candidate. And I don't give a rip about whether someone is an alum or not. Self's ties were one year as a grad assistant under LB. Roy had no direct connection.......only the indirect through Smith. Get the best guy and don't give any additional weight to an alum. JMO.

@Jayhawk-in-OKC You have made me feel better too. Now I'm worried about their guards. :)

I am concerned about SH if Doke can't play or is not nearly at full speed. Delgado will be tough for Mitch and Silvio to handle.

He takes unheralded recruits, gets them to play tough D and he wins. Would he be able to recruit slightly better offensive players to a place like KU and have a decent offense and a killer defense?

Yes, I would.

As I watch some of the conference championship games, I often think I could be watching our future opponent. I flipped past the Penn - Harvard game...wish I would have watched some.

@FarmerJayhawk That's why I think he leaves......he is either good enough for the NBA now or not........if not.....he gets paid overseas. I think that is the mindset. But I'm only guessing on that part....

This is not the same MSU as last year. Jackson is a beast....the other guys are better.

I think the West looks easiest at the top. I like our bracket early, but we will have to get past a one seed type in either MSU or Duke if we get to the elite 8.

I think Newman is gone. I think he has always planned on staying only one year and Self recruited others with that assumption. Doesn't mean it can't change....but I think he is gone...if not to the NBA then overseas. JMO.

@BShark I have been reading his lips in every game we have played against them.....not hard to see the F bombs spewed with anger all over the court....did not know that it was directed toward the fans, though.

@jaybate-1.0 I was thinking that last night......should we have saved our 15-27 from 3 for the sweet 16? I guess it doesn't work like that.....

@jayballer73 I noticed that even though he has shown some good offensive moves, he didn't need to use any of them. His 16 pts all came on pick and rolls, garbage baskets, and hustle plays. Just using his size and athletic ability. He was big and strong enough to hold his ground against Sag....not an easy thing to do.

Yes that screwed me up........I DVR'd the UVA game......crap.

So I DVR'd the game while I went to dinner. It was 26-16 when I left the restaurant and we were up by 12 with 3 plus mins. left when I got home. ESPN had the guide reversed and I DVR'd the ACC game instead.
What happened in the middle of the game? I see that they got to within 2 in the 2nd half.
How did we look in the middle part of the game...not good I'm guessing? Geez KSU big guy had his way with us.

I sure hope Dean's foot get's better.....just in time for NEXT week's game.
