Beloved Pet To Pork Chops • Feb 27, 2018 01:06 AM

Mmm bacon. I wonder if there is a free pork clinic around here?

Ugg the red ones? Unlucky suckers. Gotta make Adidas happy.

Kelly Oubre • Feb 26, 2018 08:19 PM

Highlights had Embiid draining a three over Oubre last night in a 76ers loss. Embiid makes Oubre look tiny.

Rumors Peters is on the block. • Feb 26, 2018 07:04 PM

The Chiefs must've really wanted to be rid of Peters. It's being reported that they will give a 6th round pick and receive a 4th round pick this year and a 2nd round pick next year. Seems like a bad deal for the Chiefs unless Peters implodes.

Rumors Peters is on the block. • Feb 26, 2018 06:30 PM

@Buster-1926 I believe we agree? Glad the Chiefs didn't sell out their principals is what I was going for. I think Peters is a gross human being. Too bad someone so talented is such a pos.

Davis out tonight, too. Shaka must not want to vacate any wins! 🙄

WVU currently a 7 pt favorite over Tech tonight...

Wouldn't it improve his record to vacate the loss he's about to be handed? 😜

@mayjay Franks boy could help us with #27

the Chiefs just caved to the ugliest parts of their fan base and the weakest part of human nature by avoiding discomfort even as it sets them back competitively.

The right thing isn’t always the easy thing. Mellinger is right he’s an elite talent, but is he worth selling out your principals for?

No, I don't feel sorry for Sean Miller. Anyone so foolish to discuss 100,000 dollars for a recruit deserves all the repercussions from it. It does make me wonder as a B1G fan if his brother would/has done the same thing at Indiana. If I feel sorry for anyone it's the Zona player and fan who were in the dark about this and now their season is down the tubes and they're left to wonder what they did to deserve this.

There you go. I feel sorry for my grandparents, they live near Tucson and are Arizona fans. I don’t feel sorry for Stumpy or any of the players that took money. The clean players in his program are getting screwed too.

Rumors Peters is on the block. • Feb 23, 2018 12:38 AM

Peters is an elite talent. The character issues are why he was available at the Chiefs pick. They have too many issues at corner/safety to cut ties with arguably the most talented player on the team without a major coup in return. With the off field junk you aren't getting a huge return for him I wouldn't think. So the Chiefs are likely stuck with him and his immense talent until his play drops off or he's in his last year of his contract.

This will be the greatest coaching and playing job in the face of adversity in the Self Era, if KU wins it.

How do you figure? If the refs are giving KU games as you contend it doesn't take much coaching to beat 3 stars with your 4&5 star athletes.

I believe KU won fair and square (watched wvu 3 times)so I can make that proclamation. Which is it good coaching or poor reffing?

Rumors Peters is on the block. • Feb 22, 2018 03:53 PM

The NFL needs to do like the NBA and require the players to stand during the anthem.

Unless you're protesting the owner don't harm the product.

@BShark Not if KU's playing in April! I'd float for a month before the reality of no basketball sets in. 😜

Probably down - -but NOT out lol • Feb 21, 2018 06:08 PM

@jayballer73 Not me, but my boss did two years ago. He's getting along great, but the stiffness returns if he gets too sedentary in the winter months.

Crimsonorblue22 said:

Per @kenpomeroy KU has the 38th best home foul advantage in recent seasons.

I have a KP account. I looked it up. I'm pretty sure I'm on the right page. So what B12 teams get friendlier calls at home than KU?

27 OU

23 KSU

14 OSU

10 WVU

6 TTU

1 ISU

Copy and pasted

WVU and OSU have loud fans right on top of you (similar to KU) it’s easy for the refs to get caught up in the emotion of the game. ISU and KSU have super loudly whiny fans. Hell ISU fans are complaining about KU getting calls right now. Eventually the refs will think they missed a call and you get phantom makeup calls as well as them buying into the emotion of the game - crowd goes wild when a call goes against the visitor. I don’t pay enough attention to TTU basketball to know what they have going for them other than Evans.

It was 70-80 here (KS) on Saturday/Sunday, of course it snowed on Monday...

@jaybate-1.0 Maybe try rewatching the game? You may be surprised that the reffereeing wasn’t as bad as the conclusion you are drawing from the raw numbers. More calls were missed against wvu than ku (it could’ve been more lopsided).

A recent comp would be KU went 6-6 against Toledo. If WVU had hit their free throws they would’ve been 5-5.

Probably down - -but NOT out lol • Feb 21, 2018 02:48 PM

Just be diligent about the rehab exercises and you will be a-okay. The stiffness after the surgery will be something you have to work out for around a year, then it gets easier. Stay active, an exercise bike would be nice for your recovery phase. Best of luck!

No Texas or OU. I’m for cutting the field in half and making it double elimination.

@drgnslayr Borax is your friend.

@JayHawkFanToo Team chaplain. I think he’s almost always there. I wonder if he can have any Input at practice with the bigs? Or is it a hands off position by rule? I’m fairly certain certain coaches in positions like Video Coordinator aren’t supposed to have hands on coaching time with the players.

@KUSTEVE Yeah, they disappear and reappear together. Andy Kaufman did it better and I didn't care for it then either. But to each their own I guess.

@approxinfinity I felt sorry for kid that went with my friend (it was his first KU game and he was waiting on the 3rd quarter to start when it was over), Acy Law IV ruined our night.

@jaybate-1.0 WVU really had 5 free throw opportunities if that makes you feel better.

1 -Konate’s and one.

2,3 -Carter Misses front end of one and one

4,5 - West? misses front end of one and one, but also commits a lane violation so the throw doesn’t count as a miss.

@mayjay Curry at this point would be fine anywhere. Dude’s a stud.

BShark said:

@jaybate-1-0 6 of WVU's 61 shot attempts were at the rim. Not a recipe to get to the line and something we were bemoaning about the current KU team recently.

What he said plus I had on my lucky hat! :)

@HighEliteMajor I don’t see much to bitch about there for either team. I do see a coaching opportunity for Huggins if he admits the foul discrepancy was due to weak offense not attacking the Jayhawks, but given his post game remarks he isn’t taking it as a learning opportunity.

Hosmer to Padres? • Feb 18, 2018 06:49 PM

http://insider.espn.com/blog/keith-law/insider/post?id=8051 ↗

The best-case scenario for the Padres now is that Hosmer hits like he did in 2017 again this year, and either establishes trade value for himself even with the new deal, or at least opts out after 2022 and goes somewhere else for his decline phase. The more likely scenario, unfortunately, is that he repeats his track record, alternating solid years with awful ones, and eventually ends up in the way of a better player, perhaps one of the Padres' many top outfield prospects who has to shift to first because they have a surplus out on the grass. Even at what appears to be a slight discount in the annual salary, reflective of the industry's suddenly parsimonious attitude toward free agents, this is just the wrong move for San Diego on too many levels, and a huge, baffling misstep for a front office that has done so many things right in the past 18 months.

Hosmer to Padres? • Feb 18, 2018 05:09 PM

@Buster-1926 Maybe Robin Yount would’ve been the better example. But he’s not a Royal. Career long stars are hard to come by in a small market.

For grins:

8 Miles turnover no foul

7:36 Newman 3 - clean

7:22 West 3 - clean

7:04 Dok shot + foul on arm (weak foul) and one free throw missed

6:30 Miles missed floater - clean

6:28 Newman fouled - body contact before layup attempt -Makes both freethrows

6:08 Carter misses - clean

5:44 Garrett called for a holding foul

5:39 Good no call on a loose ball (would’ve gone against Svi if it had been called)

5:27 foul on Svi

5:08 Bolden miss - clean

4:59 Dok flop following initial no call on foul

Jay Bilas, “Truthfully this isn’t a bad outcome for West Virginia.”

Dok makes the front and back end of the one and one. Finishing 7-10 from the line

4:34 Mitch blocking foul - good call, but the refs missed an offensive goal tend on the same play WVU misses and one free throw.

4:15 Vick fouled on layup attempt (weak foul, but there was contact on a shot) makes one of two freethrows.

3:44 Miles made 3 - clean

3:29 Devonte made 3 - clean

2:59 Carter missed floater - clean

2:45 Dok dunk WVU flop good no call

2:37 WVU timeout

2:18 Carter blocked by Dok clean up top body after the shot? No call

2:11 Newman made 3 - clean

1:41 Kontae miss on block - good D by Dok

Foul on Amhad pushing Svi in back during rebound - Amhad gets a bloody nose due to incidental contact

Double bonus Svi makes 2 freethrows

1:35 WVU timeout

1:09 West missed 3 - clean

Foul on Vick trying to rebound.

WVU one and one- lane violation on first free throw wipes it/them out

:39 Graham miss

:29 Carter 3 brick

:24 Miles turnover instead of shooting a three 68-66 advantage KU

:24 Graham fouled (intentionally by Carter) on rebound double bonus makes both 70-66 KU

:11 Miles block by Dok should’ve been a foul

:08 Newman layup

:08 Huggins Tech

:08 Huggins Tech

:06 Carter made 3 - clean

:05 Graham fouled double bonus makes both

:01 Miles missed 3 - clean
