@BeddieKU23 who was?
@COHawk Garrett will he tuned in. The rest of the the team??? Hard to say on any given night. This team is fairly focused though; I don’t expect too big of a let down
@drgnslayr Wish Dok or someone could outlet pass like Cole Aldrich. Cole was amazing at pushing the pace with long inbounds passes.
Yikes. Should’ve stayed in Ann Arbor. Slugs revolting?
Not many Tubbs supporters around these parts. Kinda a rare viewpoint outside of Oklahoma actually.
Devonte didn’t shoot very well in the rising stars game either. Maybe because Zion bent the rim?!?
The only schools of value in the Big12 are OU and Texas. Football drives this whole deal. KU is totally screwed if it goes down the way it’s being portrayed here. It won’t. There are too many teams for the Big East and the Big 12 to just go away in order to make the 4 mega conferences -SEC, ACC, B10, Pac12. Half the teams in these conference already suck hind tit and don’t add anything I.e Vanderbilt so why would they want to add teams like ISU or KSU and water down the contract for everyone? The Big12 isn’t going away it just might not have the same teams in it down the road. The addition of the Texas teams doomed the conference as we knew it - lost Nebraska, Colorado, and Missouri - no need to worry change is coming, but unlike what the last potus taught us change isn’t all bad.

@kjayhawks I could think of one.
Lol 🤔 who might that be... 😂
Engenders?
I guess Bill wants to win by 30
You honestly think the big East is in better shape than the Big12? Do they even play football?
The new deals always make the older deals look bad. Then you renegotiate. Mega conferences are crap for the fans, so hopefully the Big12 commish negotiates well.
@Crimsonorblue22 what?
@nuleafjhawk Had the good fortune of meeting him once. Wish I could’ve come up with better conversation, but I was a bit star struck.
The endorsement deals could be huge. Imagine how much Zion could’ve made; but would he be as marketable (Pre-NBA) without Duke?
@BShark
Kinda a preview of what the nba hopes to do with their minor league/academies deal.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/xflnewshub.com/xfl-players/xfl-player-salary-structure/amp/ ↗
1- Similar to the NFL’s “franchise” designation, a minimum $250,000 salary will be exclusively assigned to one player. This tier will likely be used for the quarterback. It could go as high as $600,000, but don’t expect Colin Kaepernick to be wearing an XFL uniform.
2- Three players will be assigned this pay level with a range of $150,000 to $175,000.
3- This level allows the largest contingent with 23 players. The salary will fall between $70,000 and $100,000.
4- The lowest pay will be allotted to 18 players. Their salary will be at least $50,000, with the potential to reach $70,000.
It may not seem like much, but consider college athletes who are less than three years removed from high school and ineligible for the NFL. Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence may find this a tempting opportunity. Others may also be enticed by endorsement deals available in the XFL which are forbidden by the NCAA.
If Max was still on the radio you’d better believe I’d have that sucker cranked up. Hell I’d turn off the tv if it was distracting from Max!
@BShark I don’t think they have an age limit.
I’ve seen freshman do far worse in Morgantown. Hell I’ve seen seniors do worse there! Braun may not be a star, but he’s a very nice piece for the team to have.
As stated earlier 122 dunks during Dok’s sophomore season are the most ever during a single season. He’s only played 80 games (you can play 40 a year if you make the final game), so he likely won’t be the career dunk leader. A 5th year Dok would be alright by me, but he isn’t getting a retro-medical redshirt.
I still haven’t found the record for dunks in a single game though.
@wissox these your guys?
@mayjay Lee should’ve been 2 of 5 :(
Dok!
You asked for it
Dok is long and active. Ya’ll are f@$$ed
I wonder how many hillbillies it takes to make a pee stain that big?

Can we at least try and get Doke involved instead of Marcus getting stuffed everytime
Why hes missed 6 shots
Because he shoots 75% from the field
Only when dunking and Tswedbebshduid won’t let him get his normal position. Rough night
Welp can’t get much worse. I was hoping for a better second half.
Ugg
Best shot in basketball - the corner three. Second best shot in basketball any other three. Third best shot in b-ball - freethrow. Fourth best shot - dunk. Blew the game on 2 of the 3 most efficient shots.
Lee’s three was pure; Warrick was a freak athlete and super long. No one else on the court could’ve altered that shot. Dammit now I’m pissed about Hakim Warrick’s amazing block again.
@FarmerJayhawk lol People from Arkansas make fun of West Virginians as being backwards...
Conference accolades seem insignificant when talking about all time KU greats. Roy watered it down enough. I don’t like what Bill is doing here. Have a ring of honor or some thing along those lines to honor the Marcus Morris, Kenny Gregory, Tyshawn Taylor types seems more appropriate.
I think the thing that really puts Kirk over the top is the 2003 NCAA Midwest Region's Most Outstanding Player award.
Bad comp - Raef LaFrentz joined Tim Duncan and Shaquille O'Neal as the only players in the 1990s to earn first team AP All-America honors twice. 2nd all time for Kansas in points and rebounds to one Danny Manning. It shouldn’t be about projections. It should be about accomplishments.
@BShark Sorry if you think this (my initial post) is directed at you. I didn’t even consider you when posting. My apologies.
@BShark It should be bigger than that. As @nuleafjhawk points out, we aren’t KSU.
Wichita State vs. Bill Self
Bill Self has stated that playing Wichita State won't benefit his Kansas team, much to the chagrin of Shockers fans. Jay Biggerstaff/USA TODAY Sports
By population, Kansas (2.9 million) isn't much bigger than Chicago (2.7 million). But the Midwestern state has played a critical role in college basketball. Three of its top schools -- Kansas State, Kansas and Wichita State -- have combined to reach the Elite Eight seven times since 2010.
Wichita State's run to the Final Four in 2013 -- and its overall rise under Gregg Marshall -- sparked a clamoring for an annual matchup with Kansas, one of college basketball's powerhouses. The Shockers haven't played the Jayhawks in the regular season since a 1993 matchup at Allen Fieldhouse, which sits about 160 miles from Wichita State's campus.
But Wichita State beat Kansas in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2015.
"This isn't knocking Wichita State," Self told The Kansas City Star in 2013. "But if it was best for our program, I would reach out to them about scheduling them. But it's not."
Self has praised Wichita State in recent years, but he has also maintained that an annual series with Wichita State wouldn't help his program. That hasn't stopped Wichita State fans from accusing Self of dodging the Shockers.
