@jayballer73 um Kentucky beat Vandy by 14 last night

Devonte • Feb 13, 2020 03:31 AM

Graham just hit a late 3 to pretty much seal it vs the Timberwolves has 26 off of 5 for 11 from distance 25 seconds left. He’s been in a bit of a slump hopefully this can get him going a bit.

@wissox no it was a fast break and the guy fouled the heck outta him.

@wissox Yes it was I rewatched the end to day. Staten on that play pushes Mason to get open clearly, and travels. Then Mari gets it quick for Perry to miss a bunny but he was definitely raked across both arms. He really should’ve dunked it lol

Marcus Morris • Feb 13, 2020 03:17 AM

@mayjay they really only won because Gerry Mac couldn’t miss from 3. If remember right they shot like 50% from 3.

@BShark very true, I feel like we were robbed in 2015 and last year there. Any road win is a good win.

Out of hibernation, this game was worth it. • Feb 13, 2020 03:12 AM

@wissox that’s how they play, they need 2 or 3 chances per trip because they can’t shoot. I was disappointed with Doke weak fouls when they appeared to foul often on the offense glass. It become a staple to expect them to foul the hell outta who ever they play, even Huggy says they can’t see them all. I’ve also noticed when the games are on the ESPN+ I’m behind like 30 seconds, not sure why but it sucks during the chat.

Marcus Morris • Feb 13, 2020 03:07 AM

@mayjay Hinrich was only 3 for 12, the trouble is we couldn’t do both with missing 3s and FTs. I bet if you check box scores 99% of the time a team that shoots below 25 or 30% from distance and below 50% from the stripe, they lose.

@Crimsonorblue22 link to article?

The democratic nominee • Feb 13, 2020 02:53 AM

@DanR that’s hilarious because of how much you dislike him. I swear they target those people on purpose

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 02:46 AM

I kinda laugh at the first half stats for Tshiebwe in both games. Doke was out for long stretches in both first halfs. David hopefully can watch this film and see how badly he was outta position defensively.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 02:39 AM

Marcus Garrett is shooting better from 3 than Dotson.

What Bruce Weber Says vs What Bruce Weber Does • Feb 13, 2020 02:37 AM

@rockchalkwyo my mother in law has been parking hers standing up for years lol.

Felt this way when I saw the schedule. • Feb 13, 2020 02:30 AM

@wrwlumpy it is damn travesty, UNC Dook at Cameron will be prime time tho Dook probably wins by 20.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 02:24 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 hey it usually works for us, don’t hate. Appreciate!

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 02:14 AM

@FarmerJayhawk @wissox i do the same thing, when I say it’s over we usually step it up lol

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 02:01 AM

Big 12 basketball is the exact opposite of Big 12 football lol

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 01:48 AM

yes my reverse psychology worked again!! Let’s finish it

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 01:25 AM

Another weak ass foul on Doke

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 01:25 AM

@DanR the Chiefs are known for offensive fire power, we are known to brick shots with no one within 15 feet of us.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 01:19 AM

This is why we will lose handily in the second round. We have zero fire power, this game is over. It may as well be a 35 point deficit

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 01:00 AM

Shame on ESPN for putting this top 15 battle on ESPN+ so half the country don’t watch it.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:58 AM

This is the game we could miss Silvio out there with the fouls already on Doke and David.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:56 AM

@BShark ya KU in turn has just 2 points each off of offensive rebounds and their turnovers.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:55 AM

@BShark I believe they have 15 points off of offensive rebounds and 11 off of our turnovers. That’s the game right there friends.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:54 AM

If Self was smart he’d spend the rest of our practices shooting FTs, shooting 3s and defensive drills.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:50 AM

Lucky to still be in it, rebound the ball, no turnovers and a make a shot or 2, we will have a chance

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:40 AM

I’d get a T, why they murder 3 guys going for a rebound, we look at someone and it’s a foul.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:37 AM

Doke bring the ball is the difference behind and the WV guys name I ain’t spelling. We learned in middle school and Roy Williams taught our bigs to do but Self does not and cost us point literally even darn game.

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:28 AM

That last foul on Doke was crap, after Garrett got tackled on the other end

In the Middle of Nowhere Game Thread • Feb 13, 2020 12:25 AM

7 points already off of offensive rebounds. Dot has to make a wide open 3 at some point, that is the reason he won’t make it in the NBA.

Marcus Morris • Feb 13, 2020 12:23 AM

@BeddieKU23 or Collison

WSU grudge • Feb 12, 2020 06:55 PM

I agree @FarmerJayhawk, people have been cheating in some capacity in major sports for a century. All the way back to shoeless Joe and Rupp getting busted to the Patriots being busted repeatedly and the signal stealing rocking baseball right now. I’ve always felt that our players probably got a used car or a job for their folks. Mainly because I know people that played college athletics and got stuff even at a smaller scale. I personally don’t believe KU is giving guys the Zion treatment with houses, cars, jobs and bags of cash. Look at the recruiting classes, we ain’t the recruits that the UNCs, Dooks and UKs are getting. More than likely because we ain’t paying what Nike does.

Marcus Morris • Feb 12, 2020 06:24 PM

@BeddieKU23 the free throws bother me much more than the block.

Other Games • Feb 12, 2020 04:55 AM

KSUCK loses the last place game @ home to OKST. I’d be shocked if they win more than one more game. First to Worst returning 3 starters and a couple of guys off the bench maybe one of the more epic collapses I’ve seen. I’m sure they’ll play well above average against us but if we manage to drop that game. It will be one of the worst losses in the Bill Self Era IMO.

Other Games • Feb 12, 2020 04:48 AM

@FarmerJayhawk sounds like a rough life buddy lol. I’ll always love Roy, will be the same if Self ever leaves.

Marcus Morris • Feb 12, 2020 04:28 AM

@dylans I agree about Kirk and Aaron, it’s also should be noted that they played different positions on the floor. Aaron was great and I think he gets over shadowed by Vaughn, Russel Robinson, Graham and Mason. Aaron is one of the best pure PGs to play here, I’d be fine with his number in the rafters. I don’t think it should be all on what the team did but I’m just gonna be honest I feel like the guys that are up there are top 5 at their positions to the date they were hung. I personally don’t think Marcus is a top 5 PF in KUs history. Arguably top 10 but I would rank Collison, Manning, Gooden, Lovellette, Simien, LaFrentz and Thomas Robinson ahead of him just off the top of my head. If you are to going to retire his number, you could make a case for half or better of Self’s players here.

WSU grudge • Feb 11, 2020 05:49 PM

WSU declined a home and home with KSUCK last season. WSU won’t play anyone now that Baker and Co are gone. I wish we’d schedule them, no one beats us consistently

Marcus Morris • Feb 11, 2020 02:43 AM

@Jayballer72 any relation to @jayballer73 or @Jayballer54 ?? Lol

RIP Jalen Wilson • Feb 10, 2020 05:01 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I don’t believe it’s anything serious personally because Self has announced injuries to those guys in the past like Dwight Coleby. At this point it probably doesn’t matter.

@jayballer73 go back and rewatch the game, got layups off of loose balls rolling right to them and a couple of off balanced 3s late in the clock. They did control most of it but those lucky shots played a big hand in it.

RIP Jalen Wilson • Feb 09, 2020 10:24 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 as @Woodrow said he was shooting at practice from what I seen on the guys Snapchat’s.

Ben Heeney Playing For NY in the XFL • Feb 09, 2020 08:13 PM

@stoptheflop I’ve been watching a little bit of it as well. I honestly hope it works out for the league and it can help get some guys back to the NFL. The NBA has the G and the MLB has the minors but out side of arena and CFL which are a lot different rules wise they have nothing.

RIP Jalen Wilson • Feb 09, 2020 07:57 PM

I hoping he gets healed enough to start playing some scout team minutes here in the next few weeks. A scout team with Harris, Mitch and Jalen seems pretty stout. Will be interesting to see what Self does with Silvio with him not announcing anything at this point. Obviously he still has 7 games left on his big 12 suspension. I’m thinking he probably clears him going into the big 12 tournament. We may need him to eat up a couple of fouls in the postseason.

@benshawks08 Baylor is proving themselves to be one of the best teams for sure. But man I’ve watched them not only play us but a couple other teams and man they have gotten pretty lucky at times. Hitting garbage shots at the most opportune time. I still don’t trust Scott Drew, he has had a lions share of talented teams down there. But has never won the conference title and only finished tied for second once. He has 3 sweet 16s and a single elite 8 in the NCAA tournament. His teams have just not got it done late in the season.

Welcome Bryce Thompson • Feb 09, 2020 03:45 PM

@BShark man we need a shooter like that

EMPEROR OF BASKETBALL • Feb 09, 2020 06:03 AM

Boyton handled it better than most coaches. He even shook the Baylor team and coaches hands on his way out. The problem I have is that if we win ether of those games in that fashion it would be on ESPNs home page like it has in the past with us. This not a chance, they don’t have the balls to ever question a Dook game. They won’t with Baylor because it wasn’t us and no one cares about basketball in Texas.

NCAA Tournament Top 16 • Feb 09, 2020 05:54 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I’m just not sold on any west coast team. Oregon probably drops at least 10 spots after two double digit losses this week. Colorado a team we easily beat is winning the PAC-12 ad Stanford another team we handled easily is mid pack. Iowa reminds me of Iowa state from the past, really good when the 3s are failing but well below average when they ain’t. They just got hammered by 40 to Purdue this past week. One of my coworkers is from Iowa so I do watch some of their games and they could get hot and beat anyone but I’d pick them out early in March. Just my opinion, Gonzaga is always supposed to be great but 1 FF and I believe 3 EE in program history. They fall out early often. Also Arizona lost by double digits to a bad UCLA team tonight, at home no less.

Light Work Game Thread • Feb 09, 2020 04:03 AM

@nwhawkfan I love blazing saddles and I think the whole world should watch it again.

NCAA Tournament Top 16 • Feb 09, 2020 03:44 AM

Dook gets a cake wake shocking....not. It will be interesting if the 2 west coast teams stay there. I don’t think they are that spectacular and play a schedule sponsored by Charmin ultra soft.
