@nuleafjhawk they honestly remind me a lot of the 2008 and 2012 Jayhawks. Very athletic and hard nosed defense while playing together very well.

The game is being played at Houstonâs pace so far, Florida is struggling with the in your face defense. Houston has 10 more shots so far but only a 4 point lead

If I remember correctly White at one point was committed to us in highschool. I think these are a few good role players but we are gonna need atleast one stud to help DP unless we are expecting 35 nightly from him.

@BShark I agree, wouldâve liked to keep him but not for what the rumor mill says he getting money wise. Auburn is rumored to have offered him 3 million and Indiana 2 million. With how he played down the stretch and his no contact clause in the portal. Iâd bet good money he knew what he was doing as soon as the season was over.
@SlimShaddy54 Iâm hearing Flory is back at his handlers house in Indiana and they are offering him a minimum of 2 Million to be a Hoosier. Not sure Iâd match that offer for a guy thatâs likely 2 years away from being a lottery pick.
People are screaming foul with Flory on X as he officially enters the portal with a no contact clause. They are saying g his handler was on contract with a dozen schools mid season on. Just waiting on the biggest bag they can get.

At least that argument would have been about actual studs on the bench. The idea that Flory and Coit/Moore were somehow going to take this team to the promise land was fools gold anyway.
Comparing guys like Jackson whom was drafted to a guy like KJ that likely is done with basketball is laughable. KJ and Juan are great guys and wouldâve been fine serving in back up roles. Iâve always said KJ shouldâve been a Mitch Lightfoot type of player. RusRob I think is somewhat comparable to Juan but was better defensively. Collins played plenty very similar to Remy in the 2022 tournament they pretty much went 50/50 for PT.
@SlimShaddy54 right I just struggle to think we will have more than one rotation player on campus right now with Jackson. Those deeper roster spot will be hard to fill thru the portal. Guys wonât want to come in to be the 10th guy in 7-8 man rotation.
@drgnslayr a 100% spot on buddy, Iâm in agreement with you. People above are mad at the idea of a GM but it appears to be working well for Duke.
@BShark I guess we can hope to be Dook and have all new players but 1 or 2. I just donât realistically see it working in Selfs system

He averaged less than 5 minutes per game, a little tough to showcase a lot in those situations
@BShark I donât agree with that but let just have to hope things work out. He looked like a good player in a few years if he stuck around. We ainât gonna be able to get a bunch portal guys that want to sit on the bench
As sad as I am to see Passmore leaving I can see it from his side of the fence. There were several games this season when he got hooked and pulled out of the game after one mistake while others were allowed to make dozens without Bill even seeming to get on them. Like my grandfather used to say when you pray for rain you have to deal with the mud sometimes. Bill made his bed and now he has to deal with the consequences no matter how unfortunate it is for us.

This is on Bill Self at this point, he wouldnât recruit over his âsonsâ as he calls them Juan and KJ. I said all year Flory deserves more minutes. What does that mean for Peterson who claimed he was most looking forward to playing with Flory. This could be the most catastrophic news to hit us in decades. I heard his camp was unhappy much of the year.

The reason being that every other great team not to win a title failed on their own in the tournament. That 2020 team, on the other hand, was unfairly stripped of a chance to play for a title.
Yes this for sure makes the 2020 team the hardest pill to swallow.

This year stings a lot to me because I thought we had a really good path to the EE had we played well and together. We may not get as favorable as draw as we did this season for another 5 or 10 years.

That 97 team is IMO the best team to not win a Natty in CBB history. Roy Williams has always said thatâs the best team he ever coached. Crazy how some of that works out because I think you could argue that the two or three of best Kansas teams in my lifetime didnât win it.

@Zabudda that was wild a normal shooting night and BYU likely cruises to a win. 25/51 from down town just unheard of.
That shot by Ali was crazy, bet his coach was like âNooooooo , yes!â But thatâs the shot you take in the underdog. If Iâm not mistaken that was and still is the highest rated 9 seed since KenPom started. They had zero business being anything worse than a 6. If I remember correctly they were ranked 23rd in the country going into the tournament. We got a favorable draw in 2022 but we have been hosed a lot. I read an article last season how KU has faced the highest rated KenPom team in just about every seed 9-16.

@BeddieKU23 thatâs my worry as well we could end up being solid and better than this season very easily. The trouble is if we look like a team that is a year away it will be next to impossible to keep everyone. Flory and Peterson likely are NBA draft bound after next season.
Iâm hearing Griffen showed up to the Peterson game along with Flory, Jackson and Cross. Prob a good sign for him returning

Hate to be mean to @wissox bit that was the worst officiated game of the tournament so far. BYU wins by at least 12 if the game is called correctly. Had took many blow outs this weekend and Vegas was buzzing the officials lol
