Blue Blood Coaching • Mar 11, 2018 03:51 AM

@Lulufulu I agree to disagree, I also don’t consider Nebraska a national power in football anymore. You can’t have 20 or 30 year breaks IMO. Especially breaks that involve not winning your conference and missing the tournament repeatedly.

Bush League KS 1A Hoops Play • Mar 11, 2018 03:49 AM

@BShark @Crimsonorblue22 I played at a 2a school and don’t think I’ve seen something that dirty.

Other Games Tonight • Mar 11, 2018 03:30 AM

WKU came so close, had 2 chances to take the lead late and lost by the slimmest of margins 67-66.

West Virginia Mountaineers - 5 pm - ESPN • Mar 11, 2018 03:18 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 we don’t have Cox (go ahead laugh haha) out here in the sticks.

Back to HEM's question (amended) • Mar 11, 2018 03:17 AM

@mayjay big banner > little banner. We are still in a power conference so even if we had the last 20 years for them, we could get a sexy hire.

Blue Blood Coaching • Mar 11, 2018 03:16 AM

I don’t consider UCLA or Indiana Bluebloods anymore. They both have missed the NCAA tournament multiple times since 1988 with 1 NC between the 2 (UCLA 95).

Back to HEM's question (amended) • Mar 11, 2018 03:09 AM

For four NCs yes

Back to HEM's question (amended) • Mar 11, 2018 03:07 AM

@mayjay I would take UConns 4 NCs in the last 20 years over our conference streak and NCAA appearances streak but not over Ollie’s one title.

@BShark Lawrence Kansas, the birthplace of College Basketball.

Other Games Tonight • Mar 11, 2018 03:03 AM

@BShark I’m watching WKU vs Marshall, WKU better pick it up!

Back to HEM's question (amended) • Mar 11, 2018 03:00 AM

I don’t think that’s a fair question lol. Now I’d rather have Selfs record with us as it currently is than have one lucky year as Ollie has had at Uconn.

As much as I hate to admit it, UK looks to have grown up a ton these last few days. They’ll be a tough team in the tournament.

Bush League KS 1A Hoops Play • Mar 11, 2018 02:52 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 You can say its wrong and I’m not sayin it isn't but I played on teams where that would’ve been a full scale royal rumble.

West Virginia Mountaineers - 5 pm - ESPN • Mar 11, 2018 02:50 AM

@BShark I don’t believe DG, Lightfoot, Desousa and Vick were Mcd All Americans but I could be wrong.

West Virginia Mountaineers - 5 pm - ESPN • Mar 11, 2018 02:40 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 link to his post game? I wonder what his excuse is this time? Im pissed Konate didn’t get a T, for Doke getting one in Morgantown for looking at a guy he deserved atleast 2 today.

Well guys we got the B12s auto bid so we won’t have to sweat it out tomorrow 🤪

Bush League KS 1A Hoops Play • Mar 11, 2018 01:47 AM

He should’ve been ejected and possibly beaten at mid court. No excuse for a play like that.

West Virginia Mountaineers - 5 pm - ESPN • Mar 11, 2018 01:45 AM

Silvio just proved he needs some pt even when Dokes back, I like Mitch and I’m not knocking him but Silvio is hands down the best rebounder on this team, that he’s he stronger and more athletic than Mitch.

Tripper • Mar 10, 2018 03:38 AM

I love how ā€œ because it’s Grayson Allenā€ comment. No it’s not its because he looks right at the guy and then hip checks him. If I was a ref I’d toss him, it’s amazing he hasn’t hurt anyone. I guarantee you if my son plays against a kid like that and gets hurt, I’m taking the floor and someone a** is kicked. A lotta players jab you in the kidneys and pinch and pull but that’s outta line.

Bracketology thread for the next few weeks. • Mar 10, 2018 03:11 AM

Dwight Coleby and Western Kentucky will battle Marshall for the conference USA crown tomorrow and a trip to the dance. I hope that they can pull off the win and get in for Coleby to have another shot to play in the tournament. I just hope they don’t play us lol, they are a good enough team, I wouldn’t sleep on them.

Silvio And Malik • Mar 10, 2018 03:05 AM

I really like post season Malik, he is playing like I thought he would coming in to this season. I’ll take all his struggles if he can keep up his intensity. It’s not only shooting for him ether, had 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. He seems to play so much better when he rebounds, it like he’s just engaged more into the game. Vick hasn’t put up crazy numbers yet (tomorrow Le corbra drops 25) but he has played great defense and been super active. If you do all the little things the big things work out IMO. Let’s all give 3 cheers to Malik he deserves a good pat on the back!

@Hawk8086 I was irate in the middle part of the second half, Svi drained a 3 start the half. So we pretty much blew all of a 16 point lead, I honestly think we thought it was over and just messed around. It’s just flatout something that can’t happen this time of year regardless of the opponent or who’s on the floor.

The Jayhawks, Big 12 and Kansas City. • Mar 10, 2018 02:56 AM

It’s interesting that we and most folks agreed that any team could win the B12 tournament but there hasn’t been an upset to this point. Tech and WVU spilt regular season games while being tied for second so whomever wins that isn’t a upset.

@BeddieKU23 Yes, the post defense was absolutely terrible. They made Mawien look like an American, first round draft pick. The dude dropped 29 points, that is my main concern about tomorrow’s game because Tech and WVU both have considerably better bigs than that. Silvio really rebounded the ball and made a case for Bill to start him tomorrow. Mitch has got to learn to stop with the silly fouls. The positive is they both will get good minutes against good comp to pregame for the dance. If we get a 1 seed, I’d sit Doke in the first round or play him very sparingly to be save.

Bracketology thread for the next few weeks. • Mar 10, 2018 02:49 AM

Xavier losing helps KUs chances at a number 1 seed, if Dook loses I’d say we have a fairly good shot at a 1 regardless of tomorrow’s outcome.

#FreeDtae • Mar 09, 2018 06:58 PM

Our favorite rapper Redhead is at it again this time its Devonte Graham.

Vick • Mar 09, 2018 06:50 PM

I think I counted 7 deflections for Vick, he was active, thats all I can ask of him.

Dean Wade Might Not Play Tomorrow • Mar 09, 2018 06:02 PM

I'm hearing both ways on Wade playing, kinda silly IMO. I wouldn't chance him not playing next week but doubt they go anywhere anyway. @BShark UNC as a 1 seed is crazy, the 6th place ACC team is one of the top 4 teams in the nation? GTFO lol

So you don't like Mitch? • Mar 09, 2018 01:34 PM

@BShark Thats bunch of crap IMO, how any KU fan could go on social media and say they hate a player SMH. I get on Mitch plenty but I don't hate nor have ever hated any KU player past or present, wish some of them made better decisions.

Bracketology thread for the next few weeks. • Mar 09, 2018 02:03 AM

The plot thickens, OSU lost, Texas lost, ND lost and Middle Tennessee loses, which will give conference USA 2 teams instead of one. OU lost early yesterday and Baylor is in a must win shortly against WV. Looks like OU, OSU, Texas and Baylor are all on the bubble, it will be interesting to see who gets in because they all finished the B12 8-10 and have similar records, ratings.

Game Day • Mar 08, 2018 10:30 PM

I can not explain how much I dont wanna lose to squeak and silo tech tomorrow, pretty solid outing outside of the first 8 minutes. Malik was great, Vick was defending superb, I think I counted 7 defections for him. Good for Mitch and Silvio to get PT, it wasnt always pretty but they need it.

The Jayhawks, Big 12 and Kansas City. • Mar 08, 2018 07:56 PM

TCU blows a double digit lead and loses in OT to KSU. TCU had a gods plenty of chances to win

Notre Dame comes charging back from 20 down with 13 minutes left to top Virginia Tech. They are making a strong case for an at large bid.

The Jayhawks, Big 12 and Kansas City. • Mar 08, 2018 02:09 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 It’s really silly at this point, they brought up their resumes and they are nearly identical. OSU has now beat them 2 of 3 times while winning 4 of 5 meanwhile OU has only won 4 of their last 15 games. Both teams have 6 top 25 wins @dylans so that’s not good enough IMO.

The Jayhawks, Big 12 and Kansas City. • Mar 08, 2018 12:55 AM

OSU up 11 on OU in the first game in KC.

Another poll another Study? • Mar 08, 2018 12:19 AM

Ive been to Iowa several times around the Knoxville area, that area is similar to central Kansas IMO. I wouldn’t live in California unless I was a millionaire and even then I doubt I’d like it. I’m a small town guy, love the peace and quiet.

Tad Boyle and Colorado may have ended Arizona States chances by spanking them in the PAC 12 tournament today.

Doke • Mar 07, 2018 10:49 PM

I would sit him the first round of the NCAA tournament aswell, if we can beat a 15 or 16 seed without him we were prob toast anyway. Could be a blessing in disguise if we are able to play a few games in KC to get Mitch and Desousa some prime minutes to get ready.

@wissox @dylans I don't think there are 351 women's hockey teams. Men's Hockey is pretty cool I wish KU had a team.

In Case Anyone Was Wondering • Mar 06, 2018 07:13 PM

@Barney The heck with it I'll add all former Jayhawks, they'll always mean something to me.

In Case Anyone Was Wondering • Mar 06, 2018 07:10 PM

@dylans I should've added Mario, my mistake

Billy Preston - Stage 2 • Mar 06, 2018 03:21 AM

What are they gonna do? The guy didn’t play a minute in real games, at this point I don’t know if it matters if Self gave him the car and 100k. Especially if they can’t prove he gave anything to anyone else.

@JayHawkFanToo yep all about he viewership

Bracketology thread for the next few weeks. • Mar 06, 2018 02:52 AM

Interesting that most still have OSU out after they beat us Saturday, I personally think the loser of the OU OSU game Wednesday should be out. How OU is safely in at a 10 currently tho they spilt the season series with OSU while having the same conference record coupled with more bad losses.

In Case Anyone Was Wondering • Mar 06, 2018 02:46 AM

@Gunman I think the face of KU ball in the Self era is Thomas Robinson, Perry Ellis, Frank Mason and DevontĆ© Graham. Those have separated themselves IMO, I feel that Paul Pierce, Drew Gooden, Nick Collison and Kirk Hinrich were the ones that were the face of Roy’s time here.

DG/Newman/Svi/Silvio/Doke • Mar 06, 2018 12:49 AM

I said we should’ve started him before Saturday’s game, why not. One could say there is more to lose Thursday than there was Saturday.

In Case Anyone Was Wondering • Mar 05, 2018 09:36 PM

I think Frank is an easy choice with NPOY and AA selection. DG is debatable if he doesn't get NPOY or a FF birth this season. I know some think we are retiring too many guys. I'm kinda split on the matter.

I keep screwing up. • Mar 05, 2018 01:42 PM

@Fightsongwriter Its a weird year because no one has cemented themselves into that award. Wouldnt surprise me if about 5 or 6 guys are in the conversation.

@jayballer73 there is always one hard a**, just kidding @Texas-Hawk-10 lmao

I keep screwing up. • Mar 05, 2018 02:30 AM

@Fightsongwriter KU actually played some games against KSU in the 50s that were on an experimental 12 foot goal and further on the court, but Bamba could dunk on a 12 foot goal.
