Not going to win many games where you give up 700 yards, and 36 first downs, and never make the other team punt. That just looks like a scrimmage for OU's offense against a Jr High team.

Prob should have been called a double but ass-uming when the ball is in play is dumb dumb dumb.

I just hope if he does leave our fan base doesn't act as disgracefully as many so-called fans did when Roy left. Everyone deserves the chance to choose their path. If he goes, we need to be as appreciative as we are disappointed. Any other reaction could poison the chance of getting a potential coach who might want to take over mid-resurrection.

Maybe some of us are still scarred by Nolan Cromwell's injury in 1976 after KU rose to #8 in the nat'l polls at 4-1 and staggered to 7th place in the Big 8 at 6-5 overall.
Having a QB like Daniels is wonderful and exciting, but a QB as your leading rusher can be a recipe for disaster if the season depends on him only.

My take is that I think Urban Meyer to Neb would be bad for us. Would implode in 2 years, and then they would get L. (Think what happened with Matt Doherty, although he was not known to be the jerk he turned out to be at UNC.) I would like Nebraska to get someone (not L!) for the long haul rather than a dipshit who will create a new coaching upheaval again.

I don't know what game you watched! The D held AZ to less than 160 yards over the first 40 mins while the O built a 30 point lead. Many subs in the game over the last 20 mins, and allowed 2 TDs, and about 130 more yards. I'd rather the D let up at the end of a blowout and avoid serious injuries. I thought they were fantastic! Bend, don't break.
And people thought that having Reid do some kicking in preseason was just a gimmick!

Think of the implication of your interp: If KU hadn't scored on our first OT possession, you are saying we could not return a turnover (getting a 2nd possession) on defense and win.
Or worse, what if WVU started OT on offense, and we got an interception but our player is immediately tackled. Then we don't get our chance at an offensive possession because we burned our single possession by making a good defensive play?

@stoptheflop The coaches wanted the player to go down so the game would immediately end. Had Bryant fumbled the ball or gotten it stripped, WVU could have returned it for a touchdown. (The interception put WVU in the role of the defense for the rest of that play, and the defense can return a fumble.)
An extraordinarily unlikely event, but unlikely events give coaches cardiac issues. Fans love the TD, but coaches want all uncertainty to end.
