FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 24, 2025 12:42 AM

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 24, 2025 12:38 AM

That kickoff was the first non touchback for our kicker.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:55 PM

I don't know how you run a play in 3 seconds like the refs just allowed Fresno to do.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:44 PM

They better start protecting JD better.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:42 PM

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:30 PM

@approxinfinity It's nice not to have to hunt through authentifications and verifications of credentials to watch a football game!

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:16 PM

The guy who just made the tackle is from Lawrence, 5th school in 6 years. This according to Haney on radio.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 11:04 PM

This secondary is gonna get gashed this year it's looking like.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 10:56 PM

Lots of O, lets see some D

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 10:42 PM

Somehow the refs have missed an obvious late hit against them and a seemingly obviously block in the back.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 10:40 PM

What an awesome clip on that fresno kid

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 10:27 PM

What a beautiful sight.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 09:31 PM

This is an important game. Although I believe we'll win Fresno is not the pushover that we'll see next week in Wagner, and in two weeks we got Missouri. A loss today really puts us behind the pack in terms of rankings especially if we (as expected) lose to Missouri.

Will also be interested to see how the stadium looks/sounds. I'm sure Fox will try to emphasize that aspect of things.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 23, 2025 09:27 PM

Gameday!! Always exciting to see first action of the year and unlike many years, a decent opponent and the return home to Lawrence for our first real home game in 2 years. As for ticket prices, 32 on Stubhub that's what I almost always do these days as there's always someone who needs to sell.

FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS • Aug 20, 2025 11:00 PM

It will be kind of the first 'real' football action for football starved fans across America so a lot of eyeballs will be on us on Fox. ISU-KSU play at 11 from Ireland, and we're the only other p5 game on the day until late at night when Stanford plays Hawaii. While a win is paramount avoiding an embarrassing showing is also important for people who will either make fun of us 'same old KU' type stuff or say 'wow, maybe KU football is really back'. I think we've proven ourselves over the last 3 seasons fairly well, last years regression might have turned off the believers from the year before. In other words, it's an important game, but i think Lance is ready and will have the guys ready.

Women's soccer/Volleyball • Aug 18, 2025 05:19 PM

I'm a weird soccer fan. I pay attention to college soccer, but really not premier/Liga type things. Anyways the lady Jayhawks are ranked...barely, but off to a good start. I wish I was nearby to watch some matches and I wish the men had a team. Title 9 casualty I guess?

I really don't pay attention to volleyball but I know some of you do so you could use this to update that team.

Random Jayhawk trivia questions! • Aug 14, 2025 11:11 PM

@dylans Zion was later than those guys though.

Guys that made the NBA that were coming to KU until Duke and Zona gave money to before there was anything like NIL: ayton and Zion

Random Jayhawk trivia questions! • Aug 12, 2025 08:23 PM

@rockchalkjayhawk I'd assume it'd be Pierce by a lot.

Hard to believe in a little more than a week this team is going to be playing and making my predictions come true.

@Texas-Hawk-10 That all may be true but they were spectacular in a KU uniform.

To hell with the summer • Aug 09, 2025 03:15 PM

@BShark One thing to appreciate about the resurgance in KU football is the interest in KU sports now starts soon instead of early November.

@FarmerJayhawk Interesting. I don't know anything about the new receivers, but I thought that trio we had were super talented and to hear you say these guys are better is exciting.

@Jhawk69 I think the OC was responsible for making him looking so bad last year until something switched. Maybe Lance got tired of it, not sure how that change occurred, but I'd put the breaks on he's ruined talk.

Of course you could say Kostelny (?) was responsible for how good he looked the year before.

@kjayhawks I don't forget how talented he is.

To hell with the summer • Aug 05, 2025 01:36 PM

@dylans That's tough. Hats off to farmers in these strange times. I don't know much about the farming business. Having your living dependent on rain, sun, drought, severe storms just sounds like it must be an annual drama in real life.

@FarmerJayhawk Agree with me at your own peril!

New Stadium questions • Aug 02, 2025 06:22 PM

@FarmerJayhawk Cool, looks like a version of Boise St. football!

2025 Baseball Season • Aug 01, 2025 03:07 PM

@bskeet Thankful for your positive outlook. Glad you're doing well.

2025 Baseball Season • Jul 29, 2025 02:41 PM

@dylans Yes! Stood at the exit to run out of the stadium to beat traffic....twice! Couldn't see the ball as I was down the right field line looking into the hazy sunlight.

2025 Baseball Season • Jul 29, 2025 04:34 AM

RIP, Ryne Sandberg. You don't have to be a fan of the team to appreciate how great of a player he was. I was fortunate to be in the stands when he hit the two homers off Bruce Sutter.

I'm also blessed as many know to have survived prostate cancer. Stage 3 was what they called it. Guys around 50 get your PSA checked. Simple blood test. Prostate cancer is the leading cancer afflicting men, although most detect it early with the PSA test, and many learn they can live with it for many years as my 93 year old dad can attest. He's had it for 20+ years.

KU Roster for 25-26 • Jul 25, 2025 01:37 PM

My KU roomie and great friend was telling me his nephew just got picked to be a student manager!

Bill Self back in the hospital 😳 • Jul 25, 2025 01:33 PM

@dylans You have to dig your own dying hole? I never knew that. I better get busy.

Bill Self back in the hospital 😳 • Jul 25, 2025 04:49 AM

Some people talking to him like maybe it's time to hang it up? I haven't heard that, just speculating.

My memorable moments • Jul 19, 2025 08:36 PM

Speaking of Robinson Gym, one day I was in there and a dude asked me if I'd help him rebound his shots. He said he was practicing and while I thought it was an odd request, it turned out to be pretty cool when he said his name was Darnell Valentine! I knew the name, but hadn't seen him play.

My memorable moments • Jul 19, 2025 03:06 PM

@ImmunoHawk I had that humbling moment as well. While I was short, I was also slow and despite all that i thought I could play on the womans team! Well in a pickup game (maybe you played since I was there at KU at the same time) there was a woman playing who was better than anyone on the court. I missed seeing Lynette Woodard playing by a few years, and thought someone this good has to be Lynette Woodard! I asked her after the game if she was Lynnette and she laughed. She said she was on the womans team, I asked her if she was a starter and she laughed like, are you crazy. She was a seldom used last player off the bench. OK, I'm not good enough to play on the womens team!

@KU4KU That's a great story that took some great planning by some students to pull that off!

Summer league • Jul 16, 2025 04:26 AM

ESPN crew was laughing at the Bulls guy, like they couldn't maintain their composure.

@rockchalkjayhawk Well he didn't ruin the Sox in the early 80's when he managed. And then the way he came back to bite us as Reinsdorf wanted to make up for his mistake in 86 and hired him out of the nursing home in 21 when he was clearly past his time.

@rockchalkjayhawk A bit less to the extreme but that explains the Sox situation. Not sure how long you've dealt with your owner but since 1980 when he bought the team from beloved Sox owner Bill Veeck, tore down our great old stadium for the last of the 70's/80's mallparks, let Hawk Harrelson fire Tony Larussa, let the labor strike of 1994 happen despite the Sox having their best chance to win a world series slip by, oh and trading away key pieces in 97 of a team that was 3 games out of first at the beginning of August saying that team couldn't win it all anyways. So I can relate for sure.

I've wondered what the cause of poor attendance at A's games is. They had a great run with the Bash Brothers and attendance peaked all time high for them. The 3 in a row dynasty of Reggie, Vida, Rollie and Catfish was barely supported by fans. Incredibly low under a million those years. Most years in their history well under 2 million and many under a million fans.

The link between a very bad stadium for viewing as fans must be something. I think it influences White Sox attendance as much as their bad teams has. Colorado is on record losses pace and averaging almost 30,000 fans this year. Nice park with nice views I think from some seats and fans attend. Oakland has a bad park, and a location that just screams 'go do something else today' by virtue of the myriad #'s of outdoors opportunities in the Bay area. Playing 2nd fiddle to the Giants, is interesting because SF fans have myriad options of other things to do, except they have a great, like maybe the best stadium in all of baseball so they attend games.

I feel sorry for the Oakland fan to have their minds played with like this for so many years now. I can relate because there's been rumors for decades here that the Sox are going to move. If they left town, I'd cease being a baseball fan. Always been my #1 sport and since adulthood they've been the team I follow, and there's really no team on the side for me.

I've been to Yellowstone 3 times now. Have not watched Yellowstone ever. Don't plan to but really hope to go to Yellowstone again.
