The last foul on Doke was a flop. Even Bilas said if the Tennessee player wouldn't have fallen down (read flopped) it would not have been called.
Williams leaned in every time and drew the foul and so did several of the Tennessee players; a different crew would have called a lot of those a charge. The refs were really bad and really took over the game and not in a good way; I hate it when refs want to be the stars. The best refs are the ones no one talks about after the game.
Dedric remind me of Perry, neither is athletic or flashy but both are skillful and do their work very quietly and when you think they are having sub-par games you look at the numbers and they are surprisingly very good. I like it. :thumbsup_tone2:
Moore hit an acrobatic shot and also a 3 and both came at critical times. He also hit another 3 that was taken out.
He might not be starting material but he is is a quality backup.

Arizona is a Nike school so it has been spared so far. There is no way in God’s green earth that Nike is not paying orders of magnitude more than Adidas or Under Armour.

I was tied up in a phone conference so I was able to watch the game only peripherally. Seems like the penalties were pretty lopsided in Texas favor.

Where were UNC and Texas ranked in previous meets? UNC is #7 and Texas unranked so far although that is bound to change.
Great win for Texas, perhaps the best it has had since Smart took over. The game against Michigan State should tell us a lot about both teams.

From the TV images it looked like the ends were fairly empty.
Garret played PG a fair amount of time and directed the offense rather well and of course his defense and effort were very good; all coaches like that.
Yes, Brown was Coach Self's mentor so they will always have that relationship. He does some scouting with Coach Self and from the basketball perspective I am sure he is a good person to have but from the administrative part he makes me very nervous.
KU held Marquette to 21 points in the second half; did not score in the first 9 minutes or so. I call this very good defense.
Doke under the basket is a much better option.
