MSUâs roster is just a bunch of guys. KU could crush them, or MSU could play very cohesively and beat KU. I doubt with KUâs talent they get blown out and my money is on a KU victory.
Found this line in an ESPN article and thought it appropriate (changed NFL to basketball).
- Unless you're some kind of narcissistic psycho, you're not watching the NCAA basketball season hoping it turns out exactly the way you predicted it would. You watch it for the surprises, for the unexpected. You watch it to find out what exactly it is that you didn't know, even though you thought you did. Dan Graziano
Kansas Juco football is second to none. There should be some talent available. Itâs how Snyder had it rolling earlier in his career at KSU.
Hope you all helped break the bank! http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/25181697/costly-week-9-nfl-sunday-disaster-sportsbooks â
Funny how the sports book guy puts it "We took a big punch today, it could snowball into Monday. Good thing is we'll be open on Tuesday." Like itâs a short term loan and they know that money will be coming back.
Wish I could stink at my job, get fired and then get paid an additional $3million. I can be a nice guy too!
@wissox At least they capped it at 10. Iâd hate to have to beat St. Maryâs school for the blind by 70 to keep pace with Kentucky.
@JayHawkFanToo I figured the respectful thing to do is let him finish out, not fire him mid-season. hmm
@FarmerJayhawk wow!
@JayHawkFanToo Why let someone else take Beatyâs shellacking? Iâm not sure there is anything to gain. Heâll likely be on the sideline for the remainder of the season.
@BShark itâd be nice to be able to throw Silvio into that mix. Doesnât look likely at this point though.
Big Dave and Ochai are going to be nice down the road. As Jrs this class should be tearing it up. (Ochai, McCormack, Dotsonđ¤)
@approxinfinity You shouldnât, right or wrong he was just throwing shade.
@Kcmatt7 Ouch. yeah he bends at the waist to get low instead of the knees. Not a good sign, but plenty of time to improve upon our first impression.
!0_1541195648287_52FB5A40-1A14-456A-B6E0-39668792B7E7.jpeg â @kusteve bowl of tears anyone? đ Funny stuff.
@KUSTEVE As long as you know which way the market will move you can profit. Steady down works as well as steady up. Itâs the working guy (me you we?) that has to pay In a down economy. A stagnant market produces far less opportunity on the board.

Oops...mos posters read all threads anyway. I will also post it to the correct thread.đ¤
I know I do...but didnât want you to miss out!
@justanotherfan Chinaâs demand for Soy is insatiable. They had to start importing Sunflowers and alternative crops because they canât get enough of the stuff. The US produces the worlds highest quality grain and beef.
I disagree. The tariffs have been uneven with the US paying a steep penalty. Getting rid of or evening the tariffs out is the long term play. China will come back to our product. It hurts short term though. The good thing is the person doing the negotiating wonât blink. The bad thing is he isnât the one to pay the price.
Itâs crazy to think that China would every play fair with us though. Just look at all the fake âhoneyâ they send over every year that people eat completley unaware itâs synthetic. Or the tariffs they put on our products. Or the treatment of their own people...
China has been purchasing large parcels of land in Africa and elsewhere because they know they canât feed their people. They must import and with the recent increase in protein consumption (beef) and a better overall diet the people have been enjoying recently, they wonât be willing to go back. So China is buying land it canât really do anything with as itâs in another country and still subject to their export laws.
@JayHawkFanToo Wrong thread maybe?
Whatâs up with KJ? Does he need a more structured offense to shine? I had hopes his transition would be a little smoother given his time at Memphis. Heâs really looked out of sync and struggled to find his shot. Iâm hopeful he can turn it around and become a key player at some point this season.
@KUSTEVE Basetball is heading towards a more positionless place anyway. Combo guards and point forwards are not unusual these days.
I wonder if playing the 3 is the allure or if itâs just the FBI stuff and heâs letting us off the hook gently?
@wissox In all fairness LeBron did let a MFer fly when he saw Kwahi checking back into a playoff game. Thatâs one heck of a defender.
@Woodrow Thatâs just silly by him. Svi played the 4. Smh
I guess if Dedrick and Dok come back and DeSousa is declared eligible and comes back there is no way JRE would get minutes as a frosh. Doesnât seem too likely. Oh well hopefully Hurt or Nnaji will sign and a couple guys return and we quickly forget about Lesterâs kid.
Thatâs hilarious. Mitch Lightfoot has been getting minutes. I just havenât been in the Least bit wowed by JREs athletisicm. Itâs no reversal I didnât want him, but wouldâve accepted him with open arms if he came. He just does nothing for me, but my opinion is based on a limited sample size. So I asked for more input. Not hating, but I never loved his game either.
-sounds like some really liked him and weâre hanging their hat on his signing. Iâm sorry for your loss, but I think weâll be ok. Next years class may be way off because of the fbi crap. The worst thing that could happen is loading up on 100+ ranked players and being stuck with than all for four years.
Actually Iâll do a reversal on that one - I am hating on any player that plays for Jay. I canât get behind him. Jay could save sister Jean from a burning building and Iâd think it was for self serving reasons.
@BeddieKU23 wouldâve liked to have him, but I guess I wasnât too high on his game. Thanks for weighing in! I really donât have that strong of an opinion on the matter.
@BeddieKU23 haha says you! I say heâs an over ranked pussy...or wildcat I guess.
Mustâve been ESPN that dropped him a couple months ago. Sent up red flags. A drop that big concerned me. Same as Jacobs falling off. Difference being only one service dropped him. Of course he dropped about 50 spots on my mind when he played for Self over the summer and chose to commit to the enemy.
@BShark 3 days is a long time, mustâve gone well! Dotsonâs replacement?
@BeddieKU23 he was ranked 18 now 38 on Rivals I believe.
The local economy already sucks. Ag has taken it on the chin for a couple years now. Maybe a market correction means we can actually stop starving and losing jobs out here. Freakin tariffs are killing us though. Long term it may be good, but the short term is putting the marginal guys out of business.
So is JRE good or has he been exposed by going to IMG? Whyâd his ranking slip 20 spots? Mightâve dodged a non-performing bullet or mightâve lost out on a multi-year starter. Iâm curious what people think? Stud or dud? Program changer or complimentary piece.
@wissox Kawhi made Simmons look like really bad ball player. We all knew Ben canât shoot, Kawhi wouldnât even let him dribble. Wow, I forgot how good Kawhi is. Amazing
@stoptheflop Grimes is smooth. Both he and Garrett do a great job of keeping their heads up and on a swivel while dribbling.
If true Nike opened the door for the FBI to drop the hammer. Surely someone slipped up along the way. Thatâs making the major assumption that the FBI cares about corruption across NCAA basketball and not just smearing ADIDAS.
@drgnslayr Itâs game Day! Who cares about HS basketball today? Not me!
KSU football was nothing before Snyder and itâll be nothing after Snyder. Theyâd better ride these last couple years out. Even a losing it Snyder is a better coach than KU has had, maybe ever. That really hurts to type. KU football is a joke.
KUâs all-time record vs. the field (last 3)
MSU 6-7 (1-2)
Duke 5-7 (3-0)
Kentucky 9-22 (3-0)
@BShark Not enough passes the last 3 drives. Way too predictable.
Duke signed 4 top 10 recruits, but has nothin but Bolden returning.
Is Tre Jones bad?
My goodness, I dislike Jay Wright. I disliked him when Mario and the gang kicked his butt. I really dislike him now that heâs routinely kicking KUâs keister.
@mayjay Thatâs who I thought of as well once I hit send. But he doesnât count it took the government putting the two tallest people in the country together to get that guy!
@mayjay No fair Coles a giant in China. đ
@jayballer73 I hear you, but if heâd been cut a week ago the Pack beat the Rams. Addition by subtraction in this case. Plus a draft pick as a bonus.
@Crimsonorblue22 The FBI stuff sure doesnât help.
The class is shaping up way different than initial impressions.
Probably the reason KU was left off the recent college football playoff poll. Sleeper alert!
@1JayhawkLifer Funny. Svi played the 4 and JRE wants to be a 3. No way heâd manage a perimeter shot in Billâs system as a 4. Rotflmao
Next.
@jayballer73 I figured the packers would cut him. Nice to get something back even if it is a seventh rounder.
@Crimsonorblue22 Diallo would be a good college player by now. Lol He was raw!
I may be wrong (new info out or something) but last I heard JREâs mom was making him choose KU on his own. Not pushing him to KU, but not away. Just making him make his own decision. It may be a tough love type of deal.
I donât want my kids to do something just because I did it- I want them to make their own informed decisions. Hopefully this is the same deal.
@BShark Itâs a personal preference. I liked Maxâs dry humor a lot. Bob was more biting. Both were excellent and a sharp contrast to whatâs going on now.
