MSU’s roster is just a bunch of guys. KU could crush them, or MSU could play very cohesively and beat KU. I doubt with KU’s talent they get blown out and my money is on a KU victory.

Funny how the sports book guy puts it "We took a big punch today, it could snowball into Monday. Good thing is we'll be open on Tuesday." Like it’s a short term loan and they know that money will be coming back.

@KUSTEVE As long as you know which way the market will move you can profit. Steady down works as well as steady up. It’s the working guy (me you we?) that has to pay In a down economy. A stagnant market produces far less opportunity on the board.

@justanotherfan China’s demand for Soy is insatiable. They had to start importing Sunflowers and alternative crops because they can’t get enough of the stuff. The US produces the worlds highest quality grain and beef.

I disagree. The tariffs have been uneven with the US paying a steep penalty. Getting rid of or evening the tariffs out is the long term play. China will come back to our product. It hurts short term though. The good thing is the person doing the negotiating won’t blink. The bad thing is he isn’t the one to pay the price.

It’s crazy to think that China would every play fair with us though. Just look at all the fake “honey” they send over every year that people eat completley unaware it’s synthetic. Or the tariffs they put on our products. Or the treatment of their own people...

China has been purchasing large parcels of land in Africa and elsewhere because they know they can’t feed their people. They must import and with the recent increase in protein consumption (beef) and a better overall diet the people have been enjoying recently, they won’t be willing to go back. So China is buying land it can’t really do anything with as it’s in another country and still subject to their export laws.

What’s up with KJ? Does he need a more structured offense to shine? I had hopes his transition would be a little smoother given his time at Memphis. He’s really looked out of sync and struggled to find his shot. I’m hopeful he can turn it around and become a key player at some point this season.

@KUSTEVE Basetball is heading towards a more positionless place anyway. Combo guards and point forwards are not unusual these days.

I wonder if playing the 3 is the allure or if it’s just the FBI stuff and he’s letting us off the hook gently?

I guess if Dedrick and Dok come back and DeSousa is declared eligible and comes back there is no way JRE would get minutes as a frosh. Doesn’t seem too likely. Oh well hopefully Hurt or Nnaji will sign and a couple guys return and we quickly forget about Lester’s kid.

That’s hilarious. Mitch Lightfoot has been getting minutes. I just haven’t been in the Least bit wowed by JREs athletisicm. It’s no reversal I didn’t want him, but would’ve accepted him with open arms if he came. He just does nothing for me, but my opinion is based on a limited sample size. So I asked for more input. Not hating, but I never loved his game either.

The worst thing that could happen is loading up on 100+ ranked players and being stuck with than all for four years.

Actually I’ll do a reversal on that one - I am hating on any player that plays for Jay. I can’t get behind him. Jay could save sister Jean from a burning building and I’d think it was for self serving reasons.

Must’ve been ESPN that dropped him a couple months ago. Sent up red flags. A drop that big concerned me. Same as Jacobs falling off. Difference being only one service dropped him. Of course he dropped about 50 spots on my mind when he played for Self over the summer and chose to commit to the enemy.

The local economy already sucks. Ag has taken it on the chin for a couple years now. Maybe a market correction means we can actually stop starving and losing jobs out here. Freakin tariffs are killing us though. Long term it may be good, but the short term is putting the marginal guys out of business.

So is JRE good or has he been exposed by going to IMG? Why’d his ranking slip 20 spots? Might’ve dodged a non-performing bullet or might’ve lost out on a multi-year starter. I’m curious what people think? Stud or dud? Program changer or complimentary piece.

@stoptheflop Grimes is smooth. Both he and Garrett do a great job of keeping their heads up and on a swivel while dribbling.

If true Nike opened the door for the FBI to drop the hammer. Surely someone slipped up along the way. That’s making the major assumption that the FBI cares about corruption across NCAA basketball and not just smearing ADIDAS.

KSU football was nothing before Snyder and it’ll be nothing after Snyder. They’d better ride these last couple years out. Even a losing it Snyder is a better coach than KU has had, maybe ever. That really hurts to type. KU football is a joke.

I may be wrong (new info out or something) but last I heard JRE’s mom was making him choose KU on his own. Not pushing him to KU, but not away. Just making him make his own decision. It may be a tough love type of deal.

I don’t want my kids to do something just because I did it- I want them to make their own informed decisions. Hopefully this is the same deal.

@BShark It’s a personal preference. I liked Max’s dry humor a lot. Bob was more biting. Both were excellent and a sharp contrast to what’s going on now.
