@mayjay I really like Berry. It stinks that he canāt play, but Iād rather he missed the first half of the season than the second. Patience is a virtue I can run short of.

@mayjay I love the box scores and have since I fist got into sports. Sometimes I enjoy them more than the (baseball) game. You are šÆ% right when I have time to kill itās not so bad, but I have less spare time lately.
So whatās the opinion out there? Will Berry ever play again for the Chiefs? Would the Chiefs be better off spending the money on other defensive players that is tied up in Berry and Houston? Those are arguably the two biggest stars on the defense. Do you dare get rid of them and anger the fans if they have a great next year?
I just wish theyād all get healthy. Iād love to see what a full roster could do on D. It wouldnāt take much of an improvement on D to take this offense to a nearly unbeatable place.
@BShark I canāt stand Hanni. It doesnāt matter what he says, because his radio voice is the worst bit of canned junk youāve ever heard. Ruins the message whatever it may be.
@Crimsonorblue22 Sorry. I canāt stand Hanni or Gurley. The radio show has been completely ruined for me since Bob retired (who was excellent). And Bob was just a poor mans Falkenstein in my books, so itās been a rather rapid decline from the absolute best broadcasters you could have to someone who sounds like heās still in college trying to figure things (his voice) out.
@wissox I feel the same way about football. Who has 3 hours to watch a game in the middle of the day? I catch the replay on YouTube if there is one. You can see every single play in 10-15 minutes.
...now for KU basketball. Why are the games so short? 2 hours up to 40 times a year is not nearly enough action!

The interviews made ESPN+ Way better than ESPN3 in my opinion. It seems like ESPN3 barely airs the whole game before cutting out abruptly. ESPN+ had a 3.5hr production, much nicer.

Why did Drummond get thrown out? It just looked like he got tangled up with Embiidās feet? Iād put that on the ref, but Embiid was acting like a clown too. As much as I love me some Embiid heās pretty immature and inflammatory at times.
Hurt and Earl both had the opportunity to play for Self this summer. If they arenāt interested in coming down to play for Bill full-time, Iām not interested in them either.
I do feel KU will land 2 of the 3 (Hurt, JRE, Zeke). I wish Hurt would start taking his recruitment seriously. Heās really hard to get a read on and itās kinda messing up recruiting of other prospects. Nothing new here though, kids gotta do whatās right for him first and foremost.

Seems like a direct denial of him or his staff having done or known of anything wrong doing. Where he leaves the door open is where everyone should - I donāt know what others (3rd parties) are doing behind our backs. Bill has a good track record when he finds out (or when it becomes public if youāre cynical)there is an issue, heās always pulled a player with eligibility issues.

@KUSTEVE Did Alabama get him cleared or did they just say to heck with it and play him? And if he was cleared how did they get it done so fast? KUs eligibility issues seem to drag in and on. Maybe because they arenāt clearable, but not convict able either.
I kinda figured the exhibitions would be Silvioās swan song. Maybe he can/will get cleared. I hope the NCAA actually does something unlike the Preston case.

If you can get a pro bowl level CB for a single first round pick, do it! Itās hard to identify and land that level of talent with any consistency in the draft. Itād probably take 2 first round picks and a couple of years to develop the player to get where Peterson is at today. Fuller would be a good second cb, but leaves a lot to be desired as the #1 guy. QBs are averaging over 9 yards per pass thrown to Fullerās guy.

Roy wasnāt a good recruiter at Kansas. His classes would hinge on one high profile guy signing and heād push off everyone else until he did. Many times his whole class would fall apart while waiting and heād be in scramble mode late.
Bill has always been a better recruiter than Roy. I assumed most of the recruitment was above board with a few outliers that didnāt sit well with me. Prestonās quick commit when Ayton disappeared for one. Wright and Arthur are a couple more possibly Shady signings. Itās all a bit disappointing, but if Billās initial comments are true (wants it all exposed/cleaned up) then hopefully he really was completely hands off. Maybe Bill didnāt know the means with which Adidas was ārecruitingā for him. Possibly he didnāt know, but it doesnāt seem likely that is the case today.
Tomorrow is a new day. Iāve enjoyed the good times. Iāve really enjoyed the great times! And Iāll stand by Billās side while this storm is weathered. Iām stil not convinced BIll was directly involved at this point. I do think he was well aware of how to recruit thru using other forms of payment- jobs and housing. And I imagine he rationalized it as a way of getting the parents into the same town as their kids. Thatās how I see it...though I suppose itās not allowed.
@jayballer73 It was Butler and he said Wiggins and Towns get by on god given talent, while he has to work his ass off to make it. Butler just wishes they would give more effort. (My take is they are sooo talented they think they are trying hard, but have no comparison to realize they have more to give) Itās the same complaint we heard while Wiggins was here. Wiggs just isnāt an alpha.

If KU dumps ADIDAS now it will look guilt as sin as the recruiting pipeline shuts down. KU would be a low Nike priority, they arenāt courting the Jayhawks and would get sent the recruits left after Duke, UNC, Kentucky, etc...if we are to believe all the recruits are bought by the shoecos.
Sounds like it depends on what UNC/Nike is offering. If itās a level playing field KU has a great chance if not...

@Kcmatt7 I like an annual Kentucky game (Champions Classic/SEC challenges has made that possible); garners lots of national attention. I hope it continues in one form or another. There is plenty of room in the non-con to do both challenges (2 games) if the desire is there. One of Kentucky/Florida and Villanova/Xavier every year would be great as the college basketball landscape currently lays.

@Kcmatt7 Add to that theyāve only played 2 home games and beat the top two divisional opponents on the road to boot. Things are rosy as long as they can get healthy.

@drgnslayr I had DirecTV now when they first rolled out the DVR part. Unless it has changed the storage is fairly limited and I think it only lasts a month. Itās a little different than TiVo.
I think thereās is a way to bundle the DirecTV now with ATT internet service to up the data limit from 1 TB to unlimited. (I didnāt do this and went over the 1TB limit one month)
I liked DirecTV Now, but only used it during a promotional 3 month period. Itās still more TV than I need. ESPN+ will make my life so much easier, as the only live TV I really care about is sports.
