I think weāre getting ahead of ourselves on Tristan. If you donāt watch KU basketball closely you donāt know who he is - doesnāt start, stats are pedestrian. I agree heās a future pro, but heās not in the same vein as KUs previous oad talent or even tad. Once the light clicks heāll be incredible, but heās not there yet and I hate to project out based on a few games or you get into a situation like Ochai - redshirt to surefire 1st rounder to whatās wrong with him? Letās try to not put unrealistic expectations on these low ranked kids (enough come just with putting on a KU jersey) it generally only leads to being disappointed in a kid thatās actually pretty damn good, but not the pro we all expected.
Happy bday @RockChalkinTexas Lotsa cool people born in November! (Mine was the 17th lol)
Iām not going to count out Brady. Itāll make a fool of you if you do. He looks pedestrian now, but itās not the playoffs and they only have the one loss. I guess if I had to put my life savings on a team to win it all itād be the Patriots...and Iām not a fan at all.
@Crimsonorblue22 I missed it too, but thereās only one dude with egg on his face after that deal and it isnāt Tristan.

Nice new feature.

Ha ha, Phil.
Pretty much the only other quarterback I can't stand other than the NE dude whose name I won't say out loud.
Michael Bishop?
Itās about to get ugly for the Chargers after the half.
...and a pick and the lead?!?
I thought Wilson was gone or going to have to improve rapidly before his injury. Now I think there is a little more breathing room. But itās going to be hard to keep everyone committed happy.
@wissox think of unwritten rules as manners. No itās not against the rules to eat with your filthy pie hole open, but itās disgusting and will cause people to dislike you/the action. Same difference. Itās just a matter of respecting the culture of the sport. Unfortunately respect of others cultures/differences still isnāt without effort that some are unwilling to put forth. But watch, the culture of baseball is changing. More Latino players are in the game now and as a general rule that like to allow their passion to show, so you see more flamboyant behavior being accepted.
I suppose if every dickhead basketball player played hard until the final whistle regardless of score this wouldnāt seem like such an outlier. But dribbling out the clock is a mercy to keep the score from getting uglier; swallow your pride and accept your fate, a fate created by yourself earlier in this game that is now out of hand.
@Crimsonorblue22 How does it feel to repeat the 9th grade?!? š
Need an Marcus Morris, Aurthur, Wright type 4 if Bill really wants to keep running the hi-low.
Graham has a better all around game and is longer. Frank hustles his butt off. Iād take Frank back in a heartbeat, but his size a liability in the nba.

picture quality is crap. Thanks, AD Jeff.
Lol best Iāve had so far. Itās perfect here.
That would explain the smell downtown...
Wingnuts was better...
Pouncey - 3 games. The other Brown player - 1 game. Rudolf nothing.
Watching the whole video of the fight, Iād say that Pittsburghās QB should be suspended too. Crazy stuff. 4 guys likely taking a seat next week and beyond.
Is Pitt any good post Dixon?
Howās his defense? Defense is a sure fire way to get onto the court with Self as the coach. I worry about his length being a liability, but it wouldnāt be if heās quick enough with a high b-ball IQ. Heās more of a curiosity to me than the other recruits. I donāt see it yet, but time will tell.
@approxinfinity Good of you to play nice š ,but thatās equivalent to saying KSU and WSU had good tourney runs recently. š Making them relevant too. š Nah. Indiana has an envious history, but hard times have become the norm. Hope they (and their mostly decent fan base) can become a power again as they seem to do it the right way.
@mayjay Yeah, itās no good. But to me it would seemingly be worse if your coach is the one to hand out the cash. And then to play the player a couple more games before sitting him is really disrespectful. Iāll save future indignation until the punishment is handed down. š
I didnāt realize stupido (this is what voice to text comes up with, I have no idea how to spell thibedeau) had been fired.
They are talking a 9 game suspension for Wiseman. Penny gave Memphis $1,000,000 for a building and he doesnāt think heās a booster. š¤¦āāļø Why exactly did Silvio get 2 years?!? Itās not like Memphis has been more cooperative than Kansas with the ncaa. Crazy inconsistencies with the NCAA. Idk Maybe the speculation is wrong.
He was a good defender in college. I wonder why that hasnāt translated to the nba? Effort?
@rockchalkwyo click on it, but donāt sign up right away and theyāll give you a price break.
Strange. Usually itās fans from teams that are actually good that troll KU.
Thatās one heck of a list of national irrelevance.
@mayjay Print journalism is dying in favor of digital. Sucks in my humble opinion. In some ways itās like going back to the Stone Age - no recorded history. When digital articles go away thereās no bringing them back. Also many (most?) in their haste to stay current donāt bother archiving the old info just updating and that old info and the snapshot in time it provided is gone. Poof
Does Luther Head have any kids?
Mario says whatās up coach?!?
@BShark Do you work for the athletic? Lol 5-6th time I recall you post telling people to subscribe. I would but there doesnāt seem to be enough KU specific content. Thatād be the only reason Iād subscribe.
@FarmerJayhawk Can he shoot? If so KU needs a guy if the 4-1 is going to be a staple. This team is short handed in the guard position. IMHO

@dylans Bill isn't an idiot like Memphis. That's my theory.
Is he toxic for some reason I missed? I just thought he was a euro flight risk.

Zero chance we are even recruiting Kyree at this point.
Why?
@BShark Hard to forget my neighbor from the 80s! Whatās that 44 year old cowboy up to? Lol wrong kb you say?!?

Beard was definitely paying attention under Knight, for sure. Wasn't that his mentor, Bobby Knight? All of of those switches and that D.
Shot fake! Knightās 2 favorite words.
@BShark They get more practice time in other states. It shows, especially early in the year. It (less practice) makes recruit eval tougher in KS - more late bloomers and more busts on top talent.
BShark said:
@nuleafjhawk Highschool stats ain't shit, basically. Frankamp still has some KS HS records I believe. :face_with_tears_of_joy:
KS High school stats for sure with the inferior completion across the board. You ever see a decent team from KS play a decent football team from Texas? Itās pretty ugly.
The problem as I see it is winning less conference titles doesnāt mean youāll win more national titles. Itās just a sign youāre in the hunt. Roy won half as many conference titles, but that didnāt seem to help him win any national championships at KU. The only way KU wins more is to either recruit overwhelming talent or get the tournament switched from double elimination so the best team has a better chance of winning. Neither of these are likely to happen, so Iāve stopped staking my happiness/ judging the success of the team by national accolades and more on how they perform and improve during the season and the players careers.
@HighEliteMajor Beard is amazing so far.
Wilson wasnāt ready, this may be a blessing in disguise, if he sticks around all 5 years. I sure wish Mitch wouldāve redshirted earlier (or not at all).
Dedrick inflated the score for both teams.
@kjayhawks She is quoting Self. He said Dok has the quickest feet and is our best perimeter defender (doesnāt mean good, just best of the 3) but he will be manning the paint. Leaving Silvio and Dave whom are worse perimeter defenders at the 4, but he wants Dokās heft by the rim.
Itās always Brad Stevens with me...but that aināt happening.

@jayballer73 sometimes the smartest people overthink things. See all the time in sports.
Part of Belicheck's brilliance is that he doesn't.
The other (larger?) part is Brady.

A friend of mine has a Nephew that plays for one of the Pac 12 schools , and we were talking and his Nephew was in need of something very minor but needed badly but didn't have the means to buy it - - My Buddy said when he heard he thought well Hell I'll send him the money so he can get this myself - - then like I told him when I heard and he said before I even had the chance to say - - NOPE can't do that - -that would be impermissible benefits and would instantly make him ineligible and him become a booster.
Believe me we are taking tiny amount of money , just another example of these kids not being allowed to get any kind of support - -crazy rules - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
For me, @jayballer73's post raised a question. Can these scholarship players accept money for their parents? I can't imagine that a parent wouldn't want to provide basic necessities. Are parents allowed to help and the line is drawn at extended family members, or not even the parents are allowed?
For their parents - no. From their parents - yes.
Need another guard to show up for depth if the 4-1 is going to be played much. Too bad McBride wasnāt up to snuff. Did Harris redshirt?
Wouldāve helped Selbyās draft stock.
Single elimination tournament favors hot shooting over solid d on any given night. On the flip side solid D is more likely to get you thru 6 games. Make it a best of 3 from the elite eight on and KU wins a few more championships. The tournament doesnāt care who the best team is, just the last standing.
