Illinois finally won in regulation, so our game will flip to ESPN soon. Yep, it flipped
5/10 from 3. Good grief
Still a minute left in the Mizzou game; thanks ESPN for being able to switch channels.
Hunter with the great outlet pass
Hunter needs to pass when doubled. Someone's got to be open Hunt
I hope KJ gets going today. He's only averaged 7pt the last 3 games.
Compared to Bruce Weber, I really like Jerome Tang. He has tried to bring down the hatred and hostility that KState fans exhibit toward KU. Rivalry is great and should be fun. Rational humans should be able to draw the line between team support and hatred for another school during sporting events. I like it when KState has a strong basketball team.
I saw video of Mahomes walking into the stadium and warming up. He looks fine. Perfect day for a big Chiefs WIN

Shout out to hutch jr college for winning nationals. 🏈❤️💙🐉
I miss the Last Chance U Netflix series that highlighted Jr. College football. The series focused on several players on a squad showing their athletic efforts, but also academic and personal parts of their lives.
So, the Chiefs start out as 2.5 pt underdogs to Houston on Saturday. Houston, who's losses include the Jets and Titans. I know Mahomes' ankle injury contributes to the line and I sure didn't think Wentz looked very good. KC has certainly suffered its share of injuries to be tabbed as a lucky team.
8 fouls KU; 2 NCSt. Refs keeping NCst in this game
@AsadZ said in North Carolina Champion to be crowned today.:
Storr not getting minutes today?
The box score shows he's 0/1
All 6 KU fouls on our centers. Jeez
Listening on the Jayhawk Radio Network. Tip off
Does 3.5 pts seem right for the spread? That seems low to me. They had 3 straight losses to Nebr, San Diego St and TxAm, then beat NDame
This must be taught or schemed by the coaching staff, but it makes my blood pressure spike every time: KU center helps out guarding the opponent's point guard and gets outside the arc. Doke did this and now Hunter is helping out to pressure the point, sometimes trying to trap the guard clear out to the half court line. First, I worry about picking up a cheap foul and second who the hell is rebounding in the paint. With Doke, I admired his hustle. But, with Hunter his complete lack of hustle in all other facets, including walking down court after a made basket makes the trap defense seem outside his skill set. I really like Hunter, especially his quick, accurate outlet passing. I hate that refs ignore fouls against centers and let opponents hack Hunter in the paint. I remember Shaquille O'Neal saying he left LSU after his junior year because the refs let opponents triple team him and hack him. At 24, maybe Hunter is just done with enjoying the college game on most nights like the Furman game. That's what it looks like to me. His on-court mannerisms look like a guy who hates his job and is going through the motions. For now, I'll chalk up Hunter's morose play against Furman as a hangover from the ridiculous Flagrant 2 call and hope to see more hustle going forward.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Leaving people open in the corner is a KU tradition. Almost as if there is no institutional memory of how Svi scored 90% of his points.
Even during the Furman game, it feels like KU plays 4 guys on d, while the opponent plays 5 and the 5th guy is always in the corner all by himself. Maybe that's by design since that open shot only goes in 20% to 40% of the time.
You'll need 3 TVs Wednesday night. Besides KU @ Creighton at 7:30 on FS1, watch Baylor @ UConn at 5:30 on FS1(sure to go into OT to delay seeing our game), Alabama @ NC at 6:15 on ESPN, then at 7:00 Marquette @ Iowa St, broadcast unknown and at 8:15 on ESPN2 Auburn @ Duke. This reminds me of the NCAA Tournament. Too many great games to watch.
I no longer believe the phrase a win is a win. This team has huge problems starting with Mahomes' often poor passing; No 15 is missing wide open receivers, sometimes when he's not under pressure. Maybe the trauma of usually having to run for his life carries over to plays when the defense isn't rushing hard. But, I haven't seen Mahomes miss so many receivers as he has this year. Add in Kelsey's decline and the constant loss of wide outs to injury and I just don't see how his team gets past its first playoff game. But I didn't count on blocking the short Denver FG attempt or O'Connell's incredibly slow reaction to the early hiked ball. My goodness, it hit him center chest and I don't think he even realized it until after the Chiefs recovered. I guess I could change my thinking and expectations: who needs to pick up that first down with 2 minutes left when all the Chiefs have to do is let the opponent find a way to lose the game on its final possession.
KJ 6 rbs
I thought Hunter would have come out with much more energy after getting bounced last game. Not so much; I'm disappointed with his play
Please just give the ball to Devin on every play. Please
Great start, then two keepers by Daniels into the line stalled the drive. Ufff
ESPN now has KU favored by 2. Let's go
ESPN now has Baylor favored by 1. I sure wish I had taken the time to attend the game in Waco. But, watching from home in all my best KU gear.
Wow, QB O'Connell had 340 yds, 2 TDs to Mahomes 306 yds, 1 TD. And Raiders had 116 yds rushing to KC's 63. This season is so stange. KC was awful in this game on both sides of the ball. But our 3rd kicker did just fine.
Come on now: Let's get a long scoring drive here
@mayjay said in Everyone Hates the Raiders:
@kjayhawks Well 10 seconds might be fair. After all, the Bears took 26 seconds! 🤪
Who else was screaming at the TV for the Bears to get going or call TO? Jeez
I sure don't understand the 10 sec runoff. What did the Chiefs do wrong?
This game looks so typical of the Chiefs-move the ball well between the 20s, but can't score TDs and have to settle for FGs.
Watching the Duck Dynasty dudes on Prime pre-game. Let's go Chiefs.
Boy, OkState's fall from grace/competence is something to behold. They look awful against Colo right now. From league favorite to cellar. Just Wow.
The Las Vegas tournament is weird: Duke Kansas play first, then 3 and 4 days later both teams play the lower seeds in the tournament, Seattle U and Furman. I guess that's why its called a showdown and not a tournament. I see that Furman played Seattle on Wedn and won. So, KU beats Duke for the chance to play the winner of the Furman Seattle game. Strange
r/Showerthoughts: So, if the Chiefs 3peat, that kicker from the Panthers game filling in for Butker and then somehow he got hurt, whatever his name was will get a ring right?
Weird day and time for an NFL game. I'm really tired of hearing that the Chiefs are the worst 10-1 team blah, blah, blah. Come on Chiefs, play a decent game and don't keep it close with the Raiders. ESPN favors the Chiefs by 13, but those idiots also favored Duke by 4.
@SlimShaddy54 I heard the announcers say Brown fouled, but I never heard the refs call it.
Saturday, 11AM can't get here soon enough. This game is such an important game to win, I just hope our team stays on a roll. Finally, I've stopped looking at the earlier games and wondering about the what ifs. Just beat the Bears and hope a bowl game is available to reward our late season rallying Jayhawks. RC
Wow, what a week for UConn-3 consecutive losses. OUCH!
I still wonder about the non-call on Maliq Brown. I've watched the play numerous times and clearly Brown was backing into Hunter while he was going up for his rebound resulting in the undercutting and subsequent pile up. Funny, a Sports Ill. writer wrote that Dickinson was rebounding over Brown's back. What a dumbass. When Dickinson's shot misses, Brown is under the basket and is bent at the waist, then backs two steps into Dickinson while he's in the air rebounding. The pile up takes place 6 ft from where Brown started under the rim. I guess since KU won, no one is talking about Brown; only Hunter is being villianized. I'm proud of KU for rallying after the ridiculous ejection, but I sure would like to see more support for Hunter and someone calling out Brown for his instigation of the initial contact.
Devin's post-Colo game interview was so impressive. Such a well-spoken, humble young man. He's a tribute to his family, the Lawrence community and our University. I can't wait for the Baylor game and to watch his professional career. Imagine how great it would be if he gets drafted by KC.
Interesting week, #2 UConn loses 2 games, #3 Gonzag loses and #5 IState lost to #4 Auburn. But, #1 is still #1 if KU gets by Furman on Sat.
WVirg hanging with the Zags. 3 min left on ESPN
I'm surprised that Duke is a 3.5 favorite tonight. Got to win this.
INT please
KU still needs the defense to step up; KU's been ahead in the 4th before with poor outcomes.
I don't see many Colo fans there
Anyone know why Hishaw isn't playing?
QB Sanders passing numbers are concerning: 3,222 yds, 27 TDs, only 7 INTs, but 31 sacks
