Question: Does what a parent of an NBA player says even matter? As a coach or GM........do you really care what they say?
@Kcmatt7 Why would he do that? He is in line for some good minutes...........unless Tilmon or somebody else comes in.
@nuleafjhawk I remember Roy saying something like there were a lot of cities to fly over to get to the east coast........a lot more schools competing for the players........players not as willing to come to the Midwest....something like that. Roy did comment specifically on the subject.
What's the latest on Moore? We sure could use him for in 18/19
@KUSTEVE I agree. The 4 man rotation of Graham, Newman, Vick, and Garrett looks good to me....even if Svi leaves I think we'll be alright More help up front is more important, IMO.

@BShark I may have said that..........I know that's how I felt. Depending on where he was projected.......may not be the best financial move..........but if you are an MSU fan........you're feeling lucky if that happens.

So would I. It would come down to the choice that players often have when considering KU.........come and compete for playing time while playing for a championship team........or go to a place where, because of need, you are almost guaranteed playing time. He likely picked the latter when he picked the Illini. Likely to do the same again. But who knows.

Well as predicted by many. I had held out hope that he might stay and develop. Probably is for the best. Fresh start will be good. I still believe he will be a good player.
Will be interesting to see where he ends up. OSU? Another big 10?
@REHawk I have always worried about another shoe dropping concerning Bragg and that incident/s

@BeddieKU23 No question that Carlton playing the 5 more often affected him. If we are going to go back to the old offense........we definitely need him.
I want him to come back. I think he can still be a good player. I have to think that the off court incidents affected his confidence. I hope he comes back. I do worry, though, that the admin. / Self doesn't feel the same way.

@HighEliteMajor Not to pile on, but Northern Iowa as well. Yes, all coaches have tourney missteps. Looking from the outside, Self has more than his share, though. Getting to the E8 7 out of 14 seasons is pretty darn good......just too bad we couldn't have won another 1 or 2 of those..........resume would look a lot better IMO.
@BigBad What you said is so logical.........doesn't mean the kids these days think that way. Even though he and Graham are the only true point guards...........kids these days see: Graham, Svi, Newman, Vick and see an already crowded backcourt.
@truehawk93 I read somewhere..........maybe posted here........that he said, among other things, he was waiting to see what DG does......some interpreted that it might be to play with DG.......I think one of the things........maybe many things.......he is considering is that if DG leaves...........Trevon would be the man........doesn't totally make sense given Self's system, but I could see where a kid could look at us as having a full backcourt if everyone returns.
@CaptnMo I doubt we will play Mizzou. We would complain too loudly........plus, even with Porter it would not be a good enough matchup. Have to imagine if will be either UF or SC.

The other Big 12 teams crapped the bed in the tourney............again. Our back is getting tired of carrying those other teams.
If we win a NC, but lose Graham...........certainly would take that. Would be harder to lose him if we don't win it all. Either way, I hope he does what he thinks is best for him. And hopefully he makes the right decision.
I thought the best part was when Vick was dribbling toward the basket, the announcer said........"buckle up!" He knew what was coming........although nobody expected a 360.

So why do we keep saying that Lucas will guard Swanigan? He has to guard Haas. Josh or Svi on Swanigan when both he and Haas are in the game? No way LL can stay with Swanigan all the way out to the 3 pt line. And if he tries............who guards Haas? What the heck am I missing?
