@jayballer67 To take it one step further, we really have no one who has been consistent for some time now. Jalen is our closest, but he has had some rough games lately. Juan is superb when/if he is aggressive. I really believe that we can win every game before it starts. IF/when we play like there is no tomorrow, no team can stay with us. Not sure where the button to push is located, but sure hope Coach Self has it ready.
@Crimsonorblue22 We have not played even close to how we played much earlier in the season. We have won close games which is great, but it is concerning with March here. And even more concerning the way our scorers are not scoring consistently. Right now Gradey cannot be counted on as a threat. Something is definitely off; certainly does not look like a lottery pick the past two games. It was as if the team treated today like a scrimmage, but Texas realized that it was a game.
Hate to say what years those were!
@kjayhawks Good ole' Lebanon, KS. Went to kindergarten and 1st grade there.
MJ almost was lost at times but he also did some really good things tonight. Much more aggressive on defense most times and came up with some loose balls. Almost seemed odd but when Jalen exited, we opened up the lead. Kudos to Juan and Joseph.
@Texas-Hawk-10 If we win out, we at least tie for the title since that means we beat Texas in Austin, and as of now we are one game back of them.
What a great story that has so many angles! Overcoming obstacles, parental support, Coach Self and why he is great. Inspirational and tear jerking - sounds like a movie.
With the upcoming games in the schedule, it will be really difficult to find minutes for a big and/or MJ to develop.
I know that. I was replying to your comment above about MJ.
@drgnslayr What is he. like during practice? Could it be that he was rated too highly to begin with?
At what point last year did Remy start to contribute night in and night out?
Think we were run out of our gym last year by Kentucky, and my guess is many thought the sky was falling. Throughout the season many were negative towards Big Dave and different aspects of the team. A loss like yesterday hurts our pride, but I'm sure Coach Self will use it to bring about a great deal of improvement in a variety of ways.
@stoptheflop Definitely have done so. Think too many worry about the other team without thinking about how they have to make adjustments to stop us. Also, we have rebounded pretty well so far.
Haven't we played against a couple of 7 ft'ers somewhere before? Can Tennessee adjust to our speed?
@dylans Don't think he's going to. leave. He has the foundation built, and the team has been competitive with the exception of yesterday. Another good recruiting year will make them even more competitive.
@BeddieKU23 Best statement yet, "...the kid being ready when his number was called." That probably. shows the coaches as much or more than anything. It would be great if every kid got to play every game, but we know that disappeared when a kid hits high school varsity.
@jayballer67 I think someone else has forgotten to show up.
@Jethro Agree with you on Remy. I think he will take off as you say whenever he hears that "it's his team," which makes it difficult since he is the new guy. With some of the softness and uncertainty we've seen lately from Ochai, I think he might welcome that from Remy.
What is HCBS's record at Ok St through the years?
Seems almost all of us are pulling for Dave and Wilson to put things together. Dave has definitely had a few good minutes but certainly not very many. It has to frustrate the other players when he misses point blank shots or loses the handle. In my opinion Wilson at this time does not fit at all with the team. He seems to have little connection to the others who seem to try all they can to pick him up.
"And it makes a statement that we need to value every single possession!" Now if we only would do so.
Wow, look at Bradshaw's helmet compared to today's helmets
No doubt Duke will be ranked probably #2 after beating Kentucky who will. probably move up to #5!!!
Will he be part of the rotation?
@BShark What about Coleman-Lands?
Keep us in the above list and add Boise State, BYU, Colorado and Colorado State, and/or Arizona and Arizona State
Looks like Coach Legans is playing the psych game, letting KU how below par they will be!
2018 final four
Porter Moser 2011 - present
Better have Tom Herman named HC within a day or two.
They seem to have found that scrappy style that was there early in the season and then disappeared during January. Braun is the leader of that trait; he certainly has been doing his share of the dirty work.
Is the KU-Tech game scheduled at any time to be shown again?
Bryce's speed at getting the ball up the court was outstanding. It causes numerous good things to happen.

Where is that Topeka YMCA team?
23-9 on rebounds shows very little effort
There appears to be no leadership.
His grandmother says he is coming to KU
Unless one is in the locker room, at practices and at games, it's really difficult to know who becomes that person. We can see some of it from different players and guess who could fulfill that role, but maybe there isn't just one to do that. It is very difficult for a younger player to do that simply because the others may not really know if they can trust/follow him. To me, Mitch is the most outgoing personality and the one who truly shows emotions, but that may not be enough. Which one of them demands the best from each teammate at all times?
WVU was leading Gonzaga for a major portion of that game. I didn't see much of it, but I would assume that Gonzaga moved the ball well and shot plenty of three's. How was WVU's defense that game?
Missed the start so didn't know if anything was mentioned then. Where was Tyon last night?
Dave isn't Dok by any stretch of the imagination (and we shouldn't expect that, just as Marcus isn't Dot) and certainly. has his issues, but if you go back and watch the game, he had several moments that definitely contributed to the victory. I see something in this team that has been missing so many times through the years - fight, scratch and claw for something that looks almost not possible.
@FarmerJayhawk True, but too often a player is overlooked simply because of size. Not overlooking legions of undersized guys; just saying that size doesn't mean everything when it comes to recruiting. There are some small guys in pro sports doing quite well after doing well at the collegiate level.
@FarmerJayhawk How tall was Willie Pless? or Todd Reesing?
@FarmerJayhawk How do we know they aren't?
So will the NCAA or the virus put an end to KU's 2020-21 season?
So just Perry and Wayne?
How many 5 stars have come from Kansas high schools, and how many played for KU?
@Marco Agree totally with "I'll take Braun over Hurt." Didn't watch Duke much, but the few times I did Hurt very seldom would mix it up like Braun began to do. Hurt seemed to stand outside the 3 pt. line waiting for a pass so he could shoot.
Almost as if he disappeared since the suspension. I am guessing that he has practiced like normal since it happened. Any word on reinstatement?
